Adventist Online

I have a blast on here doing the discussions despite I get attacked for my beliefs. I attend a public university and I have a ton of Christians.

The question that I have for y'all, why is this website everyone has to ask permission to everyone if it's ok for SDA's to go to movies, eat certain kind of foods, etc...None of my friends ask these kind of questions on their facebook profiles but they simply live their life peacefully. You know?

I'll continue standing up to what I believe but you're asking these kind of questions to the wrong people. Ask God, he is not flesh and bones also he is sin free.

Hi Brother,

perhaps one the reasons people ask questions of the brethren on topics you have mentioned could be found in Proverbs 15:21-22

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellers they are established.

Of course I understand that James 1:5 states
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So there is definitely a balance.

Thanks

Hi Brother,

I am not sure what you are trying to convey :) Who are the "they" you are referring to?
What is it that "they might recognise"

Thanks
Meta
I dont think we need to debate the bible, if we believe its true then practice it and if we have struggles then take them to God. however their is room still room for discussion. the reason we debate so much is because we bring our opinion into the picture, in other words we r leaning to our own understanding.
"Gabe, you're generalizing"

Thanks Bro John.

As the saying goes, it is NEVER always and it is ALWAYS never.
Contemporary: Modern,current, up to date, fashionable, present day, modern day, existing.

Which church are you joining?
All of that sounds cool to me.
Sounds like we are in Noah's day, everything good is getting perverted, oh i mean Modern, hip, cool, non offensive. No mirriors to look at in the "Contemporary" Chuches. Just come as you are be loud and proud, don't humble yourself and reverance? Whats Reverance. Jesus is my best friend. He understands me? We don't live in the days of the old testiment? right? Now God's sanctuary is a celebration station. Lets kick it with Jesus. we are on his level. Oh wait no we brought him down to our level. He undertsands. Lets high five Jesus and act like all the other hip churches so we can fit in with the world. WEEEEEE!!! What a ride. Are we entertained now pleasure seekers?
Contemporary..the base word is Temporary...the def is: Modern..current...up to date...fashionable...present day...modern day...existing....

So what church do you belong to?

A part of Fusion church mission statement:
"FUSIONchurch gathers to "encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds." (Hebrews 10:24,25)

outbursts= eruption...explosion...outbreaks...burst...sudden occurrence...flare-ups.

"all of a sudden....periodically"

KJV= 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

provoke= incite...aggravate...hassle...needle...goad...irritate...inflame...rouse....whip up...

These word mean ALWAYS.

10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,........ as the manner of some is; Not forgetting to come together....as some do.

but exhorting one another: But to encourage one another

and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Even more so because the day is approaching...the day of the Lord.

"When we get together"....how about when your not together?

"God's power is unleashed in us....
and through us, as we go out on His mission."

So what do you all do when your not together?

Does the power of God be put aside until a later date?

2 Tim. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

God forbids....He wants us to do His will....

An exhortation from the writings of Paul....
Eph. 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
1:2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
1:4 According as he hath chosen us, in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him, in love:
1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his, God's, will,
1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
1:8 Wherein, he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together, in one, all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Contemporary Isreal, or Ancient Isreal

Modern Day Israel or Ancient Isreal.

Is it a one day thing or a what. Phili.1:6

1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
1:10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Adventism is not a feeling, it is a principle.

God Bless.
WHOA...........

Fusion church vision:

"Vision Unleashing the Power of Together
FUSION is the process of molecules uniting together at the sun and the difference in mass between them are released as power. We feel that power at over 93 Million miles away!

When our lives come together in unity around the Son of God, Jesus Christ, God’s power is released in our lives and felt at far-reaching distances. As we lay down our differences and unite in Christ, we unleash the power of together!

United together in Christ, we are a powerful force for good.

Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one;
they get a better return for their labor.
~Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NLT)"

 Beware of this Fusion Idea, I been told there are these fusion centers being put across America , as watchdog centers for Chritians Spys if you will.

   Tracking information on Christians. not a good sign.

  We are in end-times, and there will be waves of misleading ideas to draw people away from the Lord... they may seem like, a candy apple but on the outside, it a ravenous Dog.

Kind regards Michael,

"SDA's typically like to shove fear down our throats and try to intimidate us thinking we are eternal lost"

I must say that I have not personally witnessed this kind of tactic neither do I "typically" use such a method when sharing the Word of Truth with others.

It is not Christian, God does not force or intimidate people into a relationship with Him.

I am sad if what you describe is something that you have personally encountered but to say that this is typical of SDAs methods has not been my personal experience.

"non SDA's seems to be more obedient to God;'s word than anyone else before".

I was not raised in the SDA church -when I heard the Truth as it is in Jesus and the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart I obeyed as each new aspect was revealed.

For sure, sincere people are being called out of Babylon. I can not say for sure that non SDAs are more obedient than SDAs.

One thing I would caution is not to bear false witness in other words speak the truth at all times -this is something that God asks of His children. Some of your statements may not be entirely truthful.

We are warned that in Matthew 12:36-37 by Jesus:

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Thanks
Meta
I think the good word says that we should not be judging our fellow man either.
