Thanks for your reply Pr. Kotilainen. Yes, by and large, the generational issue seems to generate the liberals is also my experience indeed. I myself find it hard to relate to this because I came across the present truth message at a mature age. The fire and brimstone messages did appeal to me. I do admit over the years I have mellowed a bit, but I do not like any compromise on the three angels message as some of the liberals seem to favour.
I know many will come from the four corners of the world to join with the patriarchs. But I do not see that there would or should be any compromise on the Present Truth.
The SDAC has the Present Truth and watering it down to be able to reach other denominations is not something I approve of at all.
We must remember that truth is progressive too and knowledge increases, therefore we need to update our awareness and knowledge constantly.
We are publishing wonderful books all the time as example one of the people I have followed closely is Professor Jaques Doukhan.. He comes from Jewish background as well as Clifford Goldstein, Steve Wohlberg, Doug Batchelor and many others..
Jewish people have had much deeper understanding of Bible. than others Besides that is something EGW predicted to happen just before Christ comes back.
Are you saying that Gentiles aren't as good at interpreting the bible as Jews can be??
It is what we all are inwardly, If a Jew inwardly we may have very deep understandings of the Holy Written Word.
It is not about our ethnic background it is about what we each choose to do with the Everlasting Gospel in heart and everything that determines whose side we are on and what we will believe about the bible and how deep in the bible we go. For instance, people that do alcohol or drugs or debauchery are less likely to have a good understanding of the Word as those who stay clean and progress in Truth as you said "truth is progressive." Beloved Sir Veli.
Thanks for your reply Pr. Kotilainen. Yes, it is not interesting How some of the Jews have such a deep understanding of the Bible. It must have something to do with their upbringing. I, note Andrew find this hard to understand, we have the same Bible so the difference cannot be in the Bible itself. And that brings us to the upbringing does it not?
Andrew Said: If a Jew inwardly we may have very deep understandings of the Holy Written Word.
But are we Andrew there is such a great difference between the Jewish way of bringing up their children to the Gentiles. This is not a point you can ignore. Look back at your childhood was you having lessons in the Bible writings for hours on end?
Andrew said: For instance, people that do alcohol or drugs or debauchery are less likely to have a good understanding of the Word as those who stay clean and progress in Truth
Yes if it only was so simple Andrew I would have to agree. But as it is you will find that there is a great difference in the upbringing of the Jews and the Gentiles.
All I am saying is that when a person comes from Jewish background they possibly have deeper understanding of Scriptures...
If a person is brought up with reverence of Scriptures it does make a difference.
That does not mean that there would be for example - inherited Salvation
And it does not mean that Gentile or Pagan Background people would not understand Scriptures -
I have a feeling that someone intentionally twist my words in order to whatever...
WHEN SAMSON ASKED GOD FOR HELP KILLING ALL THOSE PHILISTINES, I WONDER IF HE LOVED THEM ALL AS THE TEMPLE CAME DOWN ON THEM, WHICH BY THE WAY WOULD HAVE AWESOME TO WITNESS.
