The SDA  church is mixed up in everything the world is in. The church celebrates all the Pagan holidays.  When and how will the church heed the warning to come out of Babylon?

According to a Prophecy from EGW that was not written down by herself. There will be an enormous shakeup in the church before the actual tribulation. It will be cleaned out of those worldly habits. I am sorry that I have not marked the quote, I only remember reading about it.

I only remember EGW was waiting for a train and related the prophecy to one of her companions who later wrote it down.

Elijah; the quoted that you are talking about at the train station is a second hand story, which cannot be trust and verify.

I have read that statement also. It's second hand story. Which you cannot trust.

Yes true Benecio, but I am sure you can see that the present state of the leadership is tending to move closer and closer to Babylon and her daughters. Therefore some kind of purging will be needed what the Lord will do we do not know, but we see in the Bible how God has purged his people of pagan idolatry many times.

Redva said, "The church celebrates all the Pagan holidays."

Hmm... does it? I have never heard of the church celebrating pagan holidays.

Who say that the church is in Babylon? God have people in Babylon, not that the church is in our the church is Babylon.

In Testimonies for the Church vol 5 Ellen White wrote "The church has turned back form following Christ her Leader and is steadily retreating toward Egypt."

Heir we can see that the church is not in Babylon, but is "retreating toward Egypt" not Babylon. It is a big deference. We must be very careful when we mix Babylon and the church.

As far as I understand Egypt stands for Atheism and Babylon for false worship.

Peace

Thats what I thought too brother Ian. Don't get me wrong Benicio, the SDA Church will never be Babylon! However, as long as there are tares commingled with the wheat in the Church, then the names (Egypt,Babylon,Rome etc.) that describes the world is in the Church.

EGW : Examples of Influence—By their wisdom and justice, by the purity and benevolence of their daily life, by their devotion to the interests of the people—and they, idolaters—Joseph and Daniel proved themselves true to the principles of their early training, true to Him whose representatives they were. These men, both in Egypt and in Babylon, the whole nation honored; and in them a heathen people, and all the nations with which they were connected, beheld an illustration of the goodness and beneficence of God, an illustration of the love of Christ. – WM 299

Are there heathen people in the SDA Church? If so, then they represent Egypt, Babylon, Rome and all the nations that was connected. Thank GOD we know the tares will be shaken out of the SDA Church, and there will be a pure righteous people endowed with the Latter rain to give the Loud Cry.

Blessings!

We must be very carefully how we put Babylon and the church in the same  dissociation. The church is not and will not become Babylon.

Is their some worldliness thins in the church? I will say yes.  That is why she said; "The church has turned back form following Christ her Leader and is steadily retreating toward Egypt."

Babylon is false doctrine and as a church are doctrine is truth and noting more then the truth.

Know if you tell me that are some individual in the church that hold some believed that is not according to the Bible, I will say yes.

Interesting Benicio, but it could be the opposite, there may be some people outside of Babylon shouting to the church to come out.  Jesus says

These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. 9They worship Me in vain; they teach as doctrine the precepts of men.’”

What doctrine and precepts of men are acknowledged in this church and where do they come from?

Trinity?

Christmas?

Easter?

Now on an individual level some folks may not endorse these, but church has not denounced them.

Gene, who is shouting to the SDA Church to come out? and Come out of where?

The trinity GODHEAD teaching from the SDA Church comes from the Bible.

As for Christmas and Easter, the SDA Church teaches these Rome made days aren't prescribed by GOD to observe, however the SDA Church believe these times can be used to spread the Gospel, it can be used for good, and again, still believe these days aren't holy days given by GOD. So the Church doesn't need to denounced something they haven't pronounced.

  Blessings!

Reasoning said, Gene, who is shouting to the SDA Church to come out?

Doesn’t God sear our conscious by those people around us, and by biblical truth.  God calls His people out of a false system and into a knowledge of His truth.  There are biblical holy days that God ordained and the world rejects, and so does the SDA Church.

It is easy for us to say, these Rome made days aren't prescribed by GOD to observe, but we can use them for good. Isn’t it just as easy for those same people of God to stand for God without bowing to a false system? Take the prophet Daniel, he could have taken the same approach, but he stood for God and went into the lion’s den.

“Shall we have a Christmas tree? Will it not be like the world? We answer, You can make it like the world if you have a disposition to do so, or you can make it as unlike the world as possible. There is no particular sin in selecting a fragrant evergreen and placing it in our churches; but the sin lies in the motive which prompts the actions and the use which is made of the gifts placed upon the tree.

The tree may be as tall and its branches as wide as shall best suit the occasion; but let its boughs be laden with the golden and silver fruit of your beneficence, and present this to Him as your Christmas gift. Let your donations be sanctified by prayer and let the fruit upon this consecrated tree be applied towards removing the debts from our houses of worship at Battle Creek, Michigan, and Oakland, California. A word to the wise is sufficient. --Review and Herald, December 11, 1879.”

To me, this is an example of how easy it is to compromise God; you just stepped into the twilight zone, you think you’re worshiping God, but worshiping this false system.

Peace

Yes, GOD does use people to promote Biblical truth.. However the SDA Church is not a false system where people need to come out. GOD uses people from within the church to teach messages of truth. So instead of calling people out of the Church there should be a call of revival and reformation in the Church.

EGW : A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work.—The Review and Herald, March 22, 1887. – {ChS 41.4}
The time has come for a thorough reformation to take place. When this reformation begins, the spirit of prayer will actuate every believer, and will banish from the church the spirit of discord and strife.—Testimonies for the Church 8:251. – {ChS 42.1}
A revival and a reformation must take place under the ministration of the Holy Spirit. Revival and reformation are two different things. Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from the spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.—The Review and Herald, February 25, 1902. – ChS 42

See brother Gene, true SDA don't teach other SDA to come out of the SDA Church.  Your mindset is to come out, and SDA mindset should be revival & reformation.

We agree, the Holy annual days of GOD are still applicable for us today... The belief that the annual Holy days were done away with, started with Rome, just like the 7th day Sabbath... but that is not true, and just like the 7th day Sabbath, and how we came out of that thinking, we need to do the same  GOD'S annual Holy days.

So the call isn't to come out of the SDA Church, but to fully come out of the teaching Rome has taught in regards to the annual Holy days and any false teaching. EGW never taught the annual Holy days of GOD are done away with, so the SDA doesn't reject the annual Holy days, however there is a lie being promoted and believed by many in the SDA Church that GOD'S annual Holy days are done away with, and that needs to change.

Yes, I agree SDA could and should stand for annual Holy days of GOD, but the SDA Church aren't bowing to a false system... Unless there are SDA that really believe GOD ordained the day of Christmas & Easter, as supposed to understanding they aren't ordained by GOD and still using these times for spreading the Gospel. I believe most SDA believe the latter.

I think the twilight zone is something of your making... EGW said its nothing wrong with having an evergreen tree in the church, a fragrant evergreen, it makes the church smell good... "..but the sin lies in the motive which prompts the actions and the use which is made of the gifts placed upon the tree.".  I see her not focusing so much on the tree, but how we should be as good Christians, and letting that be our gift to GOD.

Blessings!
