It's just such little courtesy is exhibited on this forum. There are many trollers who are permitted to run amuck (and I'm sure they will troll on this post), who actually demonstrate to the online world that Adventists aren't really clear thinking people, but are rather bigots, child-like in mentality, unable to engage intelligently, unsound in mind, logic and reason, and are just simply un-Christian. People like Lazarus, Jason M., Bart, and the like, seem to think that this is their realm and fortress, guardians of orthodoxy, and can only abuse, mindlessly misrepresent others, accuse others, name-call, attempt to attack and hurt others, and do all the things that Jesus clearly has never felt Himself needing to do. And yet they seem to be the main ones responding to all discussions, despite breaking the forum's rules, and their bigotry is simply tolerated. Is this the picture AdventistOnline wants to put out to the world? What happened to ever being a light to the world that Jesus Himself said we should be? What ever happened to proving all things (1 Th. 5.21) rather than being staunchly entrenched in Adventist tradition? Isn't that what Adventists originally rebuked other denominations for? What ever happened to love your neighbour as yourself? As time approaches its end, shouldn't a different picture of Adventists be put out there? Will this be the only legacy of Adventists presented to God and the world?

I seem to think that your post are rather self righteous. I have seen yourself doing exactly what you say not to do. Besides this site is for Adventists not for EG White bashers. Check the rules for yourself.
You dare call yourself advetist when you do not believe in the adventist fundamentals.
As for Love I did not see any in your posts I only saw superiority and arrogance.
So what is it you want to do here? Spread Dissent
That report looks something my college football coach would have made only a little more colorful language.
I sure the Pharisee would what to after hearing this Mat 3:7 "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them:John the Baptist said “You brood of vipers" or ! Jesus said Matthew 12 :33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
Jesus was the most loving man to ever live these were some pretty tough words. And
Here are some words from God about Israel and God is love .
Ezekeil 23: 17 Then the Babylonians came to her, to the bed of love, and in their lust they defiled her. After she had been defiled by them, she turned away from them in disgust. 18 When she carried on her prostitution openly and exposed her naked body, I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had turned away from her sister. 19 Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. 20 There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. 21 So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.[c]
I try to be careful now with my but I never feel offended by what people say . If they are right I thank them no matter how hash they said . If they are wrong I turn the other cheek . Their words or not God's words they can not change me .
For God to reach me he sent a former boxer and tough guy to my home who taught me the Bible any other type of Adventist male would have shown the door.
We are going to see much abuse. Will we be able to take it if we allow people to offend us?
LOL BART , this is too funny
I guess Orthodox Guardians unite.
Please. I think you missed the point. But actually, it proves my point! Well done!
Light to the World. That's the point. And clearly you've demonstrated the inherent problem with Adventists. Let me quote myself again:
There are many trollers who are permitted to run amuck (and I'm sure they will troll on this post), who actually demonstrate to the online world that Adventists aren't really clear thinking people, but are rather bigots, child-like in mentality, unable to engage intelligently, unsound in mind, logic and reason, and are just simply un-Christian.
This sarcastic and dismissive 'Whiner Report' actually does me a service of not having to quote elsewhere but show again that what I stated was actually true!
Clearly, you don't care about being a Light to the World, a follower of Jesus or care for other people. I hope you didn't give that report to your son, daughter or younger sibling when then were bullied at school. Poor them.
Tomas I had a very rough childhood. I was both the bully and the bullied depending on the situation. I used to have a very hard heart and was a very hard hearted person. I did not grow up as an Adventist. That brings me to what I am going to say here.
I have noticed that many Adventists run in tight circles avoiding the rest of the world. I do not have this luxury. I have been pulled aside and preached to about Ellen White, I have been called a cult member. I have had bacon pushed and thrown at me. I have been called a Jew and a bigot. I have also been asked why Adventist males are so wimpy and I was told it was because they do not eat meat. Oh and they are strange. This is all very minor stuff and I praise God for it because it means that God is using me and my wife. If we cannot respectfully spar with each other on tough Biblical issues will we be able to do it in the world?
I think you're still missing the point. I too had a rough childhood. I was bullied and no one protected me. But even if I didn't, that misses the point doesn't it. I vowed never to bully other people the way I was. And yet you, having been bullied continue to advocate it? Isn't there a bit of hypocrisy and unchristian ethics in that? Because ultimately it is the Bible we follow, and the Bible talks about love, and disagreement without being disagreeable. Would you then disagree with the following passages?
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. (2 Peter 1.5-9)
Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us. (Titus 2.7-8)
Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 1.13)
What is at stake is not insults. What is at stake is the representation of a people to others, and the upholding of Biblical ethical behaviour. Would you advocate sinful behaviour? No? Then why advocate online bullying, because that's what it is. If it isn't then you might as well ignore those passages (and more) above. Also, do you think others would respect or desire to be an Adventist because they don't know how to treat each other with respect let alone others? Personally, I wouldn't.
You were on another thread bashing on Ellen White? Now you are here saying you being persecuted by people you name. Stewart of all people! Jason, is normally spot on and does not play games. So what is your agenda?
'Bashing Ellen White'? Y'see this is the problem I see with many Adventists. As soon as someone provides a rational disagreement supplied by insurmountable evidence against Ellen White, just as anyone would do to Joseph Smith, Sun Yung Moon, David Koresh, Muhammad of Islam, those Adventists don't seem to realise that such a practice is advocated by the Bible, as it says in 1 Thessalonians 5.21 (KJV): "Prove ALL Things." What happened to "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world."? (1 John 4.1) John specifically talks about prophets and testing them. Well, Ellen White is an alleged prophet. Is she immune from testing? Do you object to testing whether someone is a prophe just because you feel offended? So who is really the one getting all emotional then?
By the way, incase you missed it, I already extricated Stewart from that list since it was another 'Stuart' that I was mistook him for in the past (I admitted I had never had a conversation with Stewart). But yes, Jason, Lazarus, and now you. I mean, you came on the scene with a sarcastic "Hurt Report". It shows what position you are indeed advocating. What you miss is not only can you not see that you are advocating unethical unbiblical behaviour, you are also not practising true Biblical principles of analysis and examination. So why should you criticise those who do follow those Biblical principles, except for the reason that perhaps you don't follow those principles for whatever reason.
I think you should think about what you say before you say it. Then and only then will it be possible to have a peaceable, well-reasoned, godly, rational, intelligent, conversation.
