Get Ready For the Seal of God!
I do believe we are near the coming of Jesus as he will descend in the clouds of glory wrapped in flaming fire! The burden of my heart is to encourage everyone I can to be ready for the seal of God. When Jesus leaves the Most Holy, probation is over and the time of trouble is here, and the angels will seal the saints in their foreheads with the Fathers name.
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
Some say the 144,000 is a literal number, but the following context says this:
Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands.
Two other views that are presented is that the multitude is all of the redeemed in heaven, and that the 144,000 represents those who “follow the lamb whithersoever He goes” (Rev.14:4) a literal number.
Ellen White was given no specific light on this; we just want to make sure we are among the saved.
We want to fully surrender and wholly commit to Jesus as He is our only Safety and Surety.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
What is the Seal of God?
A seal is a sign, or a mark of authority. A seal can be an embossed emblem, symbol, letter etc., which is attached to a legal document. It has to do with legal matters. A seal has three parts: The name of the ruler, the ruler's title, and the extent of the ruler's territory. The Bible gives us an important clue as to where God's seal is located, for it says in Isaiah 8:16: "Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
" In fact, the "new covenant" (Heb. 8:8) that God made with His people involves His law. In Hebrews 8:10 we read: "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people.
" In Revelation chapter 7, we read in verses 2 and 3: "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels...Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
Therefore, we can conclude that God's seal has something to do with His law in our foreheads, or in our minds. Behind the forehead is the part of the brain called the frontal lobe, where our moral decisions are made? It is also the part of the brain where the conscience is located. (Ben Abraham/http://www.benabraham.com/html/the_seal_of_god.html)
Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads.
So then, what is the Fathers name? The Fathers name of course is the character of God. That means a reflection of His great Moral Law, The Ten Commandments, in existence from the foundation of the world. In the very center of the Law, is the fourth Commandment containing the Fathers name, title, and dominion.
Jesus also said: John 10:30, I and my Father are one.
Exo 20:8 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God ( name and title) in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all (His dominion) that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
We know the 7th Day Sabbath constitutes the sign and seal of God and is the very heart of Gods law. It seems significant to me that those who desire to keep the Sabbath Holy will easily keep the other nine. The 4th Commandment is the point of special controversy. Because this Commandment is the very heart and substance of all the other nine, Satan has made a special direct attack upon it.
In 600 B.C. the prophet Daniel was inspired to say:
Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Even in the time of the reformers, Martin Luther taught about the antichrist power:
Most reformers spoke of the papacy as antichrist. The papacy has since that time, received it's deadly wound by France in 1798 (Rev. 13:5,10) and is again becoming popular and powerful just as the prophecies predicted! (Rev. 13:3)

Martin Luther (1483-1546) [founder of the Lutheran Church]
“nothing else than the kingdom of Babylon and of very Antichrist….For who is the man of sin and the son of perdition, but he who by his teaching and his ordinances increases the sin and perdition of souls in the church; while he yet sits in the church as if he were God? All these conditions have now for many ages been fulfilled by the papal tyranny.” Martin Luther, First Principles, pp. 196-197 (http://www.sabbathtruth.com/documentation/protestant_beliefs.asp)
(2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;2Th 2:4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.)
The little horn power, “thinks to change times and laws” but does he really? No. God’s law is immutable. Here is what the Papacy itself says about the Sabbath:
“Perhaps the boldest thing, the most revolutionary change the Church ever did, happened in the first century. The holy day, the Sabbath, was changed from Saturday to Sunday. "The Day of the Lord" (dies Dominica) was chosen, not from any directions noted in the Scriptures, but from the Church's sense of its own power. The day of resurrection, the day of Pentecost, fifty days later, came on the first day of the week. So this would be the new Sabbath. People who think that the Scriptures should be the sole authority, should logically become 7th Day Adventists, and keep Saturday holy." Sentinel, Pastor's page, Saint Catherine Catholic Church, Algonac, Michigan, May 21, 1995”
“It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903. Is the seal of God only keeping the commandments? What about the faith of Jesus and Righteousness by Faith?
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Eph 2:8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is a free gift; we cannot do anything to earn it. However, the grand theme of the Bible is that sin destroys us. So we need to be born again to enter the kingdom of God. That gives us the Holy Spirit and changes our attitude as we no longer care about worldly things, we love the Word of God and we:
Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Repentance is the very heart and center of salvation, it delivers us from the sin that will destroy us if it is not dealt with the way God says to deal with it.The conditions for salvation have always been confession of sin to God, and true repentance. We must sorrow for the sins themselves and not for the results only.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Pro 28:13 He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.
Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
Mal 4:2 But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Repentance is associated with faith, and is urged in the gospel as essential to salvation. Paul preached repentance. He said, "I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, testifying both to the Jews and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:20, 21). There is no salvation without repentance. No impenitent sinner can believe with his heart unto righteousness. Repentance is described by Paul as a godly sorrow for sin, that "worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of" (2 Cor. 7:10). This repentance has in it nothing of the nature of merit, but it prepares the heart for the acceptance of Christ as the only Saviour, the only hope of the lost sinner. { 1SM 365 .2}
As the sinner looks to the law, his guilt is made plain to him, and pressed home to his conscience, and he is condemned. His only comfort and hope is found in looking to
366
the cross of Calvary. As he ventures upon the promises, taking God at His word, relief and peace come to his soul. He cries, "Lord, Thou hast promised to save all who come unto Thee in the name of Thy Son. I am a lost, helpless, hopeless soul. Lord, save, or I perish." His faith lays hold on Christ, and he is justified before God. { 1SM 365 .3}
But while God can be just, and yet justify the sinner through the merits of Christ, no man can cover his soul with the garments of Christ's righteousness while practicing known sins, or neglecting known duties. God requires the entire surrender of the heart, before justification can take place; and in order for man to retain justification, there must be continual obedience, through active, living faith that works by love and purifies the soul. {1SM 366.1}
Covered with the Robe of Christ’s Righteousness, consists of the faith of Jesus, along with keeping the commandments, so when we have this, we are ready for the seal of God.

The seal of God will never be placed upon the forehead of an impure man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of the ambitious, world-loving man or woman. It will never be placed upon the forehead of men or women of false tongues or deceitful hearts. All who receive the seal must be without spot before God--candidates for heaven.--5T 216 (1882). {LDE 221.3}
Those who have had great light and have disregarded it stand in a worse position than those who have not been given so many advantages. They exalt themselves but not the Lord. The punishment inflicted on human beings will in every case be proportionate to the dishonor they have brought on God.--8MR 168 (1901). {LDE 217.3}
Many who have not had the privileges that we have had will go into heaven before those who have had great light and who have not walked in it. Many have lived up to the best light they have had and will be judged accordingly.--Letter 36, 1895. {LDE 216.3}
A mark is placed upon every one of God's people, just as verily as a mark was placed over the doors of the Hebrew dwellings to preserve the people from the
221
general ruin. God declares, "I gave them My sabbaths, to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them" [Eze. 20:12].--7BC 969 (1900). {LDE 220.6}

We all entered the cloud together, and were seven days ascending to the sea of glass, when Jesus brought the crowns, and with His own right hand placed them on our heads. He gave us harps of gold and palms of victory. Here on the sea of glass the 144,000 stood in a perfect square. Some of them had very bright crowns, others not so bright. Some crowns appeared heavy with stars, while others had but few. All were perfectly satisfied with their crowns. And they were all
17
clothed with a glorious white mantle from their shoulders to their feet. Angels were all about us as we marched over the sea of glass to the gate of the city. Jesus raised His mighty, glorious arm, laid hold of the pearly gate, swung it back on its glittering hinges, and said to us, "You have washed your robes in My blood, stood stiffly for My truth, enter in." We all marched in and felt that we had a perfect right in the city. {EW 16.2}

REv 22 :11. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I put this text at the top of my post, what is your point? You seem to be saying that I left this out?
Excellent post! Thank you! I would personally like to be among the 144,000...but as long as I'm there I'll be happy!
so would I, but can we pay the price? They come out of the great time of trouble that will be the most difficult test ever. The Lord will lay many to sleep including babies before that time. He has His reasons for doing that, such as the preservation of eternal life and the desire to ease severe suffering. Thank you for your kind comments.It is true, lets just get there! May God Bless, Steve
can you elaborate more on the dream? yes it is true, Jesus is coming soon! We must be ready whether we are here for the mark of the beast, or we laid to sleep as we await Him to call us to life in that moment when His voice penetrates the ears of the dead in Christ, and they awake to the freshness and youth of eternal immortality.
I'm ready and looking forward to His coming. May it come soon.
amen to that, shall we study how to be in the kingdom even if we do not make it to the time of trouble?
may the Lord bless, Steve
