For me, my bible has been my priceless possession. It has truly been my light in this dark world.

There are many ways in which it has been a like a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

In times when my faith is being put to test , my mind has constantly been led to the scriptures to find courage in His word and all his wonderful promises. When I become uneasy, I recall on this wonderful passage "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).

When pride seem to swell in me, Philippians 2:3 comes in to my mind: "consider others better than yourself". It is hard to swallow pride, but this scripture truly shows me the path to take and it helps time and again.

Thanks Avi and MsMS. The Words from the Good Book is not only like unto a light, but also like unto a chart and compass through the stormy seas of life. It is the words of Jesus directing us the course to take and sail our ship to shores of heaven.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Jeremaiah 17: 7,8 (English Standard Version)
