How should we describe the Godhead or Trinity?
Are they one God in three persons?
Are they one God in three person?
Or, is there another way to describe the relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit?
I am interested.
God Bless, Alex.
I read this in this forum;
"What I have said here will be very hard to comprehend by many here but, can we really comprehend the Godhead?? Only one God three distinct person not persons.
Also, I never knew the SDA church promotes three Gods."
Vincent has the right idea. Clearly the three are seen at the baptism of Jesus so we can be sure there is the Father God and the Holy Spirit and the Son of God, Jesus Christ who before being born after being placed into Mary, was Michael, the same as who led Israel in the wilderness.
We also know that 'God' created male and female humans in 'their' image so there had to be more than one who did the creating in the 6 day creation. Interestingly, the word for 'Spirit' is feminen in the OT. And this would make sense in that Jesus said that one had to be born again by the Holy Spirit in order to be in the KOH.
More evidence suggesting that the Holy Spirit is the 'female' God, is found in Revelation 12. This 'Woman' was in heaven, gave birth to Jesus and gives birth to the rest of Her offspring in the last generation. Mary, Israel and the 'church' were never in heaven so this Woman has to be the Holy Spirit. Jesus would not be interested in a bride that also gave birth to Him, so this 'Woman' can't be Israel, Mary or the Church. It is really that simple!
One who is therefore born of this same 'Woman' would have a sur name of God, thereby being in the 'family of God. So yes, they too would become 'gods' as brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.
What i quoted earlier was from Ellen G White Writings .
Are you insinuating that Jesus was born or created or that Jesus Christ is a creature ?
Your third paragraph is very confusing, you said: "This 'Woman' was in heaven, gave birth to Jesus and gives birth to the rest of Her offspring in the last generation. Mary, Israel and the 'church' were never in heaven so this Woman has to be the Holy Spirit. Jesus would not be interested in a bride that also gave birth to Him, so this 'Woman' can't be Israel, Mary or the Church. It is really that simple!"
So "this Woman" can't be Mary, Israel or the church, but can be "The Holy Spirit" who, as you alluded to, also gave birth to him; making The Holy spirit His mother. Why would he be interested in a bride (Holy Spirit ?) who is also his mother ?
I not too sure I understand what is going on here but what I do know is that Mary was conceived by the Holy Spirit so then the Holy Spirit Melchisedec.
Rich is no longer a member of this site and will not answer you. His opinions are not in accordance with the bible either, he does not believe in most of the new testament.
No i have been SDA all my life and yes I believe that Mary was born as the rest of us. don't know why you asked.
From my studies Melchisedec is the Holy Spirit. Read Hebrews 7 and Sabbath sermon posted a link here on it which has info you can take a look at it also.
Jesus could not have come through the order of no sinful man he had to come through perfect hence he came through the order of Melchisedec the Holy Spirit who the bible refers to the King of Peace and Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
