when God created the Heaven and Earth in Gen. 1:1.... God create Heaven and then Earth in one after the other? means no gap theory or after created heaven it takes how many years to create again the Earth means Gap theory?
Because remember after God created heaven perfectly....there is a great controversy first in heaven.. and in the other hand when God created Earth it is darkness represent evil, so it is very clear that before God created Earth satan is already exist...
Yes It you read the Patriarks and Prophets you will see that the Devil was very jealous when the earth was created. I am not so sure what you mean by the Gap?
I am not sure what you are asking and what you are saying so please forgive me.
So my answer might reflect that.
God created Heaven and Earth in the beginning is a statement by itself pointing to Or Beloved Lovely Creator and what HE did.
I always saw it as a summery.
He made Heaven at the beginning..i.e. the beginning of time itself(?).
And made earth at some point as well. (the gap?)
Heaven certainly existed before, where His Throne and Angels live.
The great cosmos that seem to go on forever has been around a long time.
Earth is described as void and water was already there ..uhh here.
Could it all be created at once?
It is possible..i guess!
Nice to see you!
I agree, this is more of a summary of events. Heaven here is not the abode of God, but the heaven which covers the earth. Notice how some text says “heavens”, this refers to the whole heaven. The ISV says,
In the beginning, God created the universe.
Notice Isaiah 65:17 which says,
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Some people may not understand the work that Christ will do at his second coming; the pollution, the space junk and all the other things that the fall has cause in the cosmos will be corrected, thus Isaiah 65:17
For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:
Revelation 21:1 is somewhat different, it reads
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed.
The reference of a new heaven is related to the abode of God. Heaven will now be different; the Tabernacle of God is now on earth with man.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
yes Gene, I thought of that heaven but i decided to go with his line of thought.
thank you brother...:D agree... but i mean gap is a 100 years or more...:D heaven and then the Earth
The Bible is clear it as 24 hour days in the creation week. For example:
Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
as you can see the plants and trees was created the 3rd day and the sun the 4th day if you was to have a 100 years gap you would have the plants and trees die waiting fot light from the sun.
God created light from the very beginning and called it day.
…3Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.…
How is day and night defined? By the rotation of the earth and it relationship to the sun. So, when plant life was created the sun was already present.
The lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night may very well constitute to stars and the moon which are only seen at night. Astrologically they determine the season, and so does the sun; which is one reason it was worshiped instead of the creator.
Gene do you mean to accept the gap theory?
Amen well put Leon
