Certainly.
We will be wearing it in Heaven.
Might as well do as some of the Bible Greats did and start wearing it now.
It's always best to study for yourself. So I will not include quotes. But a simple study on this topic will show you what I am saying.
Honestly on the issue of wearing jewelry, I don't think it is as important as the heart of an individual. I have no problem with someone wearing jewelry in modesty. The Bible does sometimes mention the misuse of jewelry. Overall, though,It is very difficult to say that God absolutely condemns jewelry.
An example can be found in Ezekiel 16. God tells the story of Jerusalem in allegory. He describes the city as a girl rejected by her parents. God says He found her and cleaned her up.
Then He says, "I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head. So you were adorned with gold and silver" (verses 11-13, NIV). He goes on to describe the beauty and prestige of Jerusalem. But then in verses 15 and 16 Jerusalem becomes proud and becomes a prostitute. Verse 17 says, "You also took the fine jewelry I gave you, the jewelry made of my gold and silver, and you made for yourselves male idols and engaged in prostitution with them" (NIV). Here God uses jewelry to signify what He provided for Israel (Jerusalem is represented). It is an extremely positive symbol, but it can be misused.
I think the SDA church stated it well when they wrote:
Let us remember that it is not the “outward adorning” which expresses true Christian character, but “the hidden man of the heart . . . a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” (1 Peter 3:3, 4). pg 176 SDA Church Manual.
Sister Sthelen, Are we to adhere to the principles of the Bible or of the Seventh Day Adventist institution? It is not "clearly taught in Scriptures that the wearing of jewelry is contrary to the will of God," as the SDA church claims in the manual.
I know my stands on jewelry, i wont wear it,, you know what i consider when i think of jewelry?
I compare the two women who represented the true church of God and the church which rebel against God.. The woman who represented the true and pure church, was not arrayed with any jewelry she pure spotless. on thee other woman who represented the rebellious church, was dressed as a harlot, with all her fine jewelry.
we are called to be different to be set apart, yes God looks at the heart but in all aspects of our lives we have to reflect Christ including the way we dress.
We have to go back to that state of simplicity of mind and heart...

There is a bit of sage advice that seems to apply to this question. That is:
"If in doubt, don't."
What do you think?

So do you have any scriptures to share, i love Shenelle's post, and i do agree that the bible is the foundation for the church this is why i ask for some scriptures.. And if we have to go back to creation, we will see that God never meant for us to adorn ourselves with costly pearls etc... I do not know about wearing jewelry in Heaven but i do know that we will have a crown... this is not jewelry to me but it represents something.. That is why someone will have many stars on their crowns and some will not have to many..
Yes as i said things did change when man sin, and i guess for this reason, it was part of their culture at that time to receive jewelry, but does that make it right?
You see man did many things after sin that God permit but, that did not make it right, for example, polygamy was permitted but it was not right.. do you get me Gabriel?
Thanks Shenelle, I really appreciate the bible verses, i have come across them before.. And you made a valid point about Adam and Eve, about how pure they were without any jewelry this is so correct... We females must have the confidence, that we are created in the image of God we are beautiful without the extra adornment, we put on. I for one is against jewelry, i have heard many preachers speak against it as well.
I do not know if you know of, Ellen G White also have a few quotations on wearing jewelry as well. I know ppl are of different ethnic background so they may think different, but in GOD we have one ethical background and we get it all from the bible.. we just have to study diligently and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide us through the holy pages of this great book.
