Jason, show us in the Bible where he should cut his hair before baptism?

I want to see it too. If it is there then we should explain this to him in love from the scriptures Gabriel.

there are two kinds of churches

those that keep people out

and those that let people in

the religious in Jesus day were extremely upset that Jesus keep letting people in

God bless u all

#walk in lockstep club

"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:14

Tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you! Matthew 21:31

Most homosexuals refuse to repent and turn from their wicked ways but the prostitutes and adulterers will...

Matthew 23:

13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

=> guess we will be surprised who will meet there in heaven; what i want to say: why should prostitutes and adulterers turn from their wicked ways, but not homosexuals or people with dreadlocks? Jesus helps them all.

And about the dreadlock-guy:

Matthew 23:

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Jesus also did not send the demon possessed guy to the hair-stylist before he freed him from Legion and turned him into a new person. Or i imagine John the Baptist with his camel-hair-dress living in the wilderness, of course with a neat and fresh haircut and a trimmed beard calling to repent. As Grey already said: How can we expect, that a crusade-visitor will change his whole life during a series of a few seminars? The real job of a pastor is to lead and guide them closer to Jesus through pastoral care, visits and bible-lessons.

Nevertheless, i bet Jesus takes care of them (Kirby and the pastor) and at least this quote of "Kirby" shows, that he is on the right track:

He said he will continue going to church and giving God praise. source

We do some silly things because we are not seeing right. We have a vision problem. We need eye salve simon.

Good point :)

There is need of a more thorough preparation on the part of candidates for baptism. They are in need of more faithful instruction than has usually been given them. The principles of the Christian life should be made plain to those who have newly come to the truth. None can depend upon their profession of faith as proof that they have a saving connection with Christ. We are not only to say, “I believe,” but to practice the truth. It is by conformity to the will of God in our words, our deportment, our character, that we prove our connection with Him. Whenever one renounces sin, which is the transgression of the law, his life will be brought into conformity to the law, into perfect obedience. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. The light of the word carefully studied, the voiceof conscience, the strivings of the Spirit, produce in the heart genuine love for Christ, who gave Himself a whole sacrifice to redeem the whole person, body, soul, and spirit. And love ismanifested in obedience. The line of demarcation will be plain and distinct between those who love God and keep His commandments, and those who love Him not and disregard His precepts. {CCh 295.5}

Amen Jason

MFG for ever justifying your lifestyle.

Good grief Lazarus, you are following MFG around on different threads like a love sick puppy. Making statements about him that have nothing to with the OP or even his responses, maybe you should go pray your gay away. For someone who is such a homophobic you just can't stay away from the gays...hmmmmm?

Hey, why are my SDA Christians brothers and sister (Lazarus, MFG and now Timber) quarrelling? Do you think Jesus would join this forum and respond to each other the way you are doing it? Think about it.

Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
