Eph. 4:29-32
"Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Anyone else have a special passage or verse to remember today?
God bless and have a wonderful Sabbath!

Today's is one of my all time favorites.
"And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain."
Is. 4:5,6

LOVE that!!
I like Psalms 119:162 "I rejoice at Thy Word as one that findeth GREAT SPOIL!!!" :-}
Also 119:125 " I AM Thy servant, give me understanding that I may KNOW Thy testimonies."
Thanks Deborah :)
Not too long ago, I used to book of Psalms as my devotion reading, I read all the way through. I found that it really uplifted my soul because for each time that David would be crying out to God for feeling forsaken, at least three or four times he was praising God for saving him after it was all said and done!
God bless Deborah, good to see you again!
Permalink Reply by Deborah Pickell Chennault on July 22, 2011 at 7:13am Psalms 119 has only 2 verses that don't talk about the Scripture. I find that wonderful. And yes, Psalms is very good for encouragement.. Whether you are up OR down!! :-}
Good to be seen!! We had CampMeeting and its been busy round here!!
I saw you said something about Camp Meeting. I went to ours back in June. I was very blessed by the speakers and other pastors and people I hadn't seen in years. Of course going back to the school I attended 25 years ago is always touching. It's like I remember something new each time I go :).
Have a blessed Sabbath Deborah!

mine would be, "MY God My God why has thou forsaken me?" to show how human Jesus was and how He could have made mistakes as a human. Although Jesus was by far a perfectionist, by as a human person, He also displayed mistakes
in doubting His Heavenly Father. I hope members here will realize the Jesus was also human, and was able to make human mistakes a a person and a God.
sir james
p.s. vince, i am pretty sure some members may not agree with me on this issue.
I think I see where you're coming from sir james. I always looked at this time in Jesus life as He was feeling the seperation between He and His Father in Heaven. I know there are times when I feel a seperation between God and myself and it's a scary feeling. I don't even want to imagine what that feeling must have been like, to be bearing all the weight of the sins of humanity for all time, feeling death rapidly closing in after spending eternity prior next to God and full of life. It must have been horrific!
The bottom line though, is that He can relate to anything we have ever been through having spent time as a mortal human, and because of that, we can feel a closer bond with Him. Good call brother, I never would have picked that as a favorite before tonight.
God bless you.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.
When faced with difficult circumstances never give up. Ask God to give you peace and cheer up. Always look on the bright side God knows what is best for each of us.
This, Theresa, is also one of my favorites. It's one that I've quoted on many occasions myself and it gives me strength to know that the one that I pray to and reach for has already beaten everything that I come up against. Even though I still have fear, from this verse, I know I shouldn't, and helps me swallow that fear and put it aside.
May God bless you by lifting you up with the strength of His arms and the tenderness of His hands sister!
Permalink Reply by Theresa Gini on July 18, 2011 at 4:14am This verse has helped me to hold on and never give up. I had a very hard time as a cardiac patient every now and then I'm always at the hospital and I've been admitted in the hospital. 2009 was a very challenging year for me I thought I wouldn't make it but this is one of the Bible verse that gave me the strength to hold on and to never give up. I have learnt so much while at the hospital and I want to share with others and tell them how God has given me a second chance in life, a borrowed life that I now have and I want use it for the Lord's purpose in all that I do.
May God bless you and your family and strengthen you in your spiritual walk of life!
This is my son's first memory verse. He heard it in a sermon when he was six and it has stuck with him to this day.
"Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." Romans 13:10
