a colleague of mine is non sda. im trying to show him the light but he is as stuck in his ways just as i was prior to accepting GOD'S truth.
he directed me to this article. i must admit its very convincing even to me an Adventist. it actually got me started questioning some of teh stuff there. just imagine what a non sda must be thinking. this was all copied from the article he showed me.
Seventh-Day Adventism's Ellen G. White and Freemasonry
Photo to Right: Founder of 7th Day Adventism, Ellen G. White's Tomb Stone. Notice the Illuminati symbol. Obelisks represent Freemasonry, clearly evidenced by the Washington Monument. George Washington was a 33rd Degree Freemason.
Without prophetess Ellen G. White (November 26, 1827 — July 16, 1915) there would be no Seventh-day Adventist [SDA] Church; however, SDAs seek to avoid the issue because Ellen G. White’s life was saturated with occultism, damnable heresies and bizarre experiences. SDAs revere White’s writings as being equally inspired with the Bible.
Interestingly, Charles Taze Russell (founder of the Jehovah’s Witnesses), Ron Hubbard (founder of Scientology), and Joseph Smith (founder of the Mormon religion) were all 33rd Degree Freemasons.
Mary Baker Eddy, the founder of Christian Science, was an associate of 33rd Degree Freemason Henry Steele Olcott who founded the Satan worshipping cult called the "Theosophical Society" with evil female Freemason, mother of the New Age Movement and Hitler's spiritual guide, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky.
Satan is the god of this sinful world (2nd Corinthians 4:4) and operates through the occult to perform his works of darkness. 2nd Corinthians 11:13,14 informs us that Satan transforms himself into an angel of light to deceive people, and his sinister ministers are transformed into ministers of righteousness.
Should it be surprising then that the Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientologists, Christian Scientists, Seventh-day Adventists, and other religions are all OF THE DEVIL.
There is a visible, obvious, verifiable occult connection between nearly all major religions today, especially with Freemasonry.
Seventh-Day Adventism and the Occult
Seventh-Day Adventists are deceivers, led by Satan. I visited a so-called “Christian Bookstore.” When I was leaving, the woman behind the checkout desk gave me some of their business cards. I took a look at one of their business cards while driving away and almost drove off the road.
Here is their card, which I scanned to my computer to show you. . .
A business card from a Seventh-Day Adventist owned bookstore
I immediately recognized the all-seeing eye, which is a very popular occult symbol, showing one's allegiance to the New World Order. It seemed strange to me that a small advertised Christian bookstore would be a part of the New World Order, so I went back to the store to take a closer look. I figured that they must be a part of a bigger organization that is a part of the New World Order.
Sure enough, I found some works of darkness by Doug Bachelor, who is a popular Seventh-Day Adventist speaker in California. I went home and looked up the GENERAL CONFERENCE OF SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS website, and here is their official SDA logo . . .
Official Seventh-Day Adventist Logo, shaped as a Masonic pyramid
Notice the shape of the Masonic occult pyramid, which is also displayed on the back of every U.S. one-dollar bill to mock the stupidity of society, and to remind us that we are now slaves to the Masonic-controlled New World Order . . .
Notice the all-seeing occult Eye of Horus, commonly displayed inside the Illuminati pyramid, which has its origins in ancient Egyptian occult religion. The all-seeing eye is representative of Lucifer, the angel of light, who is the god of this world according to 1st Corinthians 4:4.
Here is the creepy logo for CBS studios . . .
Now take another look at the Seventh-Day Adventist bookstore's business card . . .
What is presented Sister is possibly true, but do not fear conspiracy rulers in our church
Isa 8:12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.
Sure the Masons are in our Church, but does not make our assembly of people all misled, or following evil....
There is always a remnant that God protects....Only fear Him it says....
Re 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
Some of us might even have Satan in our Church, but do not fear, Jesus is stronger than He....
Re 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith,
We are commended for not losing our faith....
Re 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
God protects us from Mason falsehood, to the weak, Jesus is our Shepherd and our protector
Re 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
We need to get hot, and fight back with Jesus empowering us
Re 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Over come what will rise in our Church with Jesus love, even so it comes with affliction mixed with salvation, take up our cross and follow Jesus defending the faith...but fear not says the Lord, only Me should though fear....
im not a sister dude. men like cats too you know? *shaking my head*
Sorry Jay, common mistake as a teacher
Taught a student once called Robert, she was a girl, than there's Bobby and Roberta, also girls...
It can get confusing sometimes....my mistake....
I like them just fine when they are out killing moles, mice and doing what they are supposed to do. Unfortunately, mine likes to expand his hunting ground and didn't do his duty with the squirrels this year.
He is not a dumb cat. As far as cats go, he is pretty intelligent. I tell him to come and he comes. I tell him to go and he goes. On occasion he tries to speak. He chased a squirrel one day. The next time I saw one, I pointed it out and said, "Squirrel." The cat actually meowed in a quizzical tone something that sounded as close to squirrel as a cat vocal cord could make.
Cats should primarily be outside keeping the mice population down which helps keep the snakes away.
Is it possible to be a Mason and an Adventist? I would think the light that we have would make us run the other direction. For example, before I was a Christian I was approached by a member of a lodge to come to a meeting. I was afraid even though I liked and trusted the man asking me. I now know that was the Holy Spirit. I have also been pushed to join unions but it never felt right or honest. After reading what EGW said about joining unions, I now know why I never did.
Are there people who are SDA and masons?
I'm not a mason however I've been approached about joining. I did some research and there is a lot of good they do and some reasoning behind the evil rumors surrounding them. When I asked I've been told being a religion isn't an aspect of the society and that most of the evil rumors surrounding it were actually spread by their main adversary (the Catholic church) by exploiting their free thinking views which were expressed in search of the truth and twisting them into evil.
While I've never seen proof of evil intentions in the name of the organization from any Mason I've encountered in my current state I don't like the idea of my personally beliefs being at the center of a whirlwind within the organization and affecting my friendships if the rumors proved true. This is why I usually just redirect the conversation when it comes up.
Based on what I know to be true I view Masons no differently than I do any organizations member I barely know including SDA, baptist, Mormons, Jehovah witnesses, etc after I've read something evil about them.
One of my co-workers who is a Lutheran wanted to join a fraternal organization because he could use the organization's hall for his wedding dance. As part of his initiation he had to go into a candle lit room where there were statues in alcoves and they had to say things to these idols. He said that he felt very convicted after doing this and ashamed. He, as far as I know did not stay with this organization.
I would be very careful about joining any organization and I understand that they do good. Taking oaths are something that a Christian should avoid. It could mean we have to choose between God and our oath. I have a close Catholic friend who told me about joining the Knights of Columbus. I asked him in a lighthearted way about the details and I saw a glimpse of fear as he told me he could not talk about it. We live in a messed up world, Praise God, it will end soon.
Yeah, I would definitely walk out if I noticed things like that going on. That's why I've avoided putting myself in the situation so far. When I was younger I did join an academic science fraternity. They had the ceremony and stuff but there was no idol, we just had to memorize the creed which I don't even remember now and answer some random questions about science after doing a presentation.
I would just focus on discussing the Truth with them. The Truth doesn't need any Church/title associated with it. The Truth is the supreme authority, all else just causes confusion. People tend to lose site of the truth when they get caught up in church rules over the Truth/God.
I like to study early American History and one of the things I have found is that the Age of Reason and Deism had a great influence on the founders of this nation. One of the factors or the biggest factor for the Age of Reason and Deism was the excesses and crimes of the Catholic Church. You can see this in the writings of Thomas Paine and Voltaire.
William Miller is such a wonderful example of all that was happening at this time in history and the study of his life gives us a wonderful picture. I want to find the time to really study and read more about William Miller.
"Shortly after his move to Poultney, Miller rejected his Baptist heritage and became a Deist. In his biography Miller records his conversion: "I became acquainted with the principal men in that village [Poultney, Vermont], who were professedly Deists; but they were good citizens, and of a moral and serious deportment. They put into my hands the works of Voltaire, [David] Hume, Thomas Paine, Ethan Allen, and other deistical writers.""
There is so much of America that is steeped in Masonic teaching and symbols. You cannot go anywhere without seeing symbols, from the Capitol to any and I mean any grave yard or old building. There is no wonder why conspiracy theories come up. I have often asked why is there a steeple on churches, is this not a symbol? I still have no idea what is the truth about it, but it does not reflect in anyway, whether or not there are Godly Christians inside. This is the same with EGW's grave, it does not mean that the bones of a wonderful Christian lady do not rest there. I do wish that an obelisk was not used on her grave and I wish the symbol used by the SDA church was different, but it does not have any meaning because the teaching of our church is supposed to come directly from the Bible, Sola Scriptura.
We have nothing to fear if we keep our eyes on Christ. If these things give you trouble, pray and ask God to give you the Holy Spirit to study them using the Bible as your guide. I hope this helps.
Ellen White had some interesting interactions with Mr. N.D. Faulkhead, a senior member of the Freemasons.
Mr. Faulkhead was also treasurer of an SDA Publishing House in Australia.
Ellen White writes,
I "returned December 12 . On the evening of the next day, Brother Faulkhead called to see me. The burden of his case was upon my mind. I told him that I had a message for him and his wife, which I had several times prepared to send them, but I had felt forbidden by the Spirit of the Lord to do so. I asked him to appoint a time when I could see them.
He answered. "I am glad that you did not send me a written communication; I would rather have the message from your lips; had it come in another way I do not think it would have done me any good." He then asked, "Why not give me the message now?" I said, "Can you remain to hear it?" He replied that he would do so.
... I now arose from the bed where I was lying and read to him for three hours. His heart was softened, tears were in his eyes, and when I ceased reading, he said, "I accept every word; all of it belongs to me."
Much of the matter I had read related to the [Australian] Echo Office and its management from the beginning. The Lord also revealed to me Brother Faulkhead's connection with the Free Masons, and I plainly stated that unless he severed every tie that bound him to these associations he would lose his soul.
He said, "I accept the light the Lord has sent me through you. I will act upon it. I am a member of five lodges, and three other lodges are under my control. I transact all of their business. Now I shall attend no more of their meetings, and shall close my business relations with them as fast as possible."
I repeated to him the words spoken by my guide in reference to these associations. Giving a certain movement that was made by my guide, I said, "I cannot relate all that was given to me."
Brother Faulkhead [later] told Elder Daniells and others that I gave the particular sign known only by the highest order of Masons, which he had just entered. He said that I did not know the sign , and that I was not aware that I was giving the sign to him. This was special evidence to him that the Lord was working through me to save his soul."
(3Selected Messages p.85)
Later, when Mr. Faulkhead himself described the event, he wrote,
"...she gave me this sign. I touched her on the shoulder and asked her if she knew what she had done. She looked up surprised and said she did not do anything unusual. I told her that she had given me the sign of a Knight Templar. Well, she did not know anything about it..."
Mrs. White gave another Masonic sign, and Mr. Faulkhead knew that it was a sign that no woman could know, and he wrote in his letter that "this convinced me that her testimony was from God."
