Re 1:7
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

I am hearing that this text refers to a partial resurrection when Jesus comes. It is alledged that when Jesus comes the wicked who pierced him will rise just to see him coming and then they will die again.

I have looked for information to back up this but to no avail so if anyone know about this and have concrete evidence from both Bible and SOP then feel free to pass it on.

Dan from the quotes you listed I do not see anything about a partial resurrection. Is it that you are saying there is no partial resurrection?

Dan then the wicked will experience three deaths?? The Bible does not support this.

Ron that is not clear at all it just states that all in the dust shall wake but I cannot just take it to mean awake at the same time. Because the Bible mentions only two resurrections one for the righteous and one for the unrighteous. And the Bible also refers to the righteous sleep not sure if you will say the wicked sleep as well?? No where have I seen the wicked raised to see Jesus come and then die again that will be like saying they experience three deaths. Also bear in mind that the wicked will not be able to behold Jesus because of their sinful state. So if you are indeed saying there is a partial resurrection then you need to explain further.

Thanks

Ronald could not have been when Jesus told Caiaphas that he was going to see him coming he was referring to the second resurrection?

I looked at the text you quoted in Daniel and still have not seen what you are saying and yes I am trying to have an open mind.

Now nowhere in the Bible have I seen it clearly explained that the wicked will rise in the first resurrection and then die again.

Now I don't want to be hard headed by I cant just accept this just like that.

Dan you quoted

Special Resurrection Before Jesus Appears—Graves are opened, and “many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth ... awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Daniel 12:2.

“They also which pierced Him” (Revelation 1:7), those that mocked and derided Christ’s dying agonies, and the most violent opposers of His truth and His people, are raised to behold Him in His glory and to see the honor placed upon the loyal and obedient{Hvn 28.1}

The only time the wicked will see the honor placed upon the loyal is in the second resurrection when the New Jerusalem comes down.

How can this be taken literally? Many people die at sea or are cremated. They have no literal grave. What puzzles me is why James and Ellen White are each buried under an obelisk in Battle Creek Michigan; whereas Charles Taze Russel, who founded the Jehovah's Witnesses which, like the SDA, also evolved from the Millerites, is buried under a 7 ft tall pyramid.

I agree Myron. Most protestant based religions have published their own annotated bibles to comply with their doctrine. Just to prove this point, I have a question to you people: What was the other (second) Great Disappointment that took place in 1844? A hint is that it also took place in the USA. Any body Know??

Well any one?    Don't be shy ... What was the Second Great Disappointment.

Second Hint: It took place in what was the largest city in Illinois back in 1844. What was that

 Great Disappointment?

how disappointing ... no one cares to know ... every one to his own, so it seems.

Hi Al

I would like to know.

Walt

THERE WAS A SALE OF OBELISK THAT WEEK AND THEY TOOK IT.  THE PYRAMID FELL ON CHARLES'S EXISTING TOMB AND IT WAS TOO HEAVY TO MOVE.

REF:  15th message vol 4 page 33.

Rick in all of EGW writings there is only one reference to an Obelisk and it does not refer to Charles tomb.
