The Health Message is apart of the 3 Angels Messages. It is the "right arm" of the 3 Angels Message, which is the Everlasting Gospel. The Health Message is particularly connected to the 1st Angels Message, which tells us to "GIVE GLORY TO GOD". We give glory to God by reflecting His character and following His ways.
*Revelation 14:6,7---"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
...We give "GLORY TO GOD" by reflecting His character and following His ways. We also give "GLORY TO GOD" in how we look, dress, eat, and drink. 1 Corinthians 10:31 makes this more clear.
*1 Corinthians 10:31---"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."
...This is how the Health Message is connected to the 3 Angels Message, through the announcement of the 1st Angel, which is to GIVE GOD GLORY. We give God glory in ALL that we do, including "eating & drinking". This is why God gave His last day church the HEALTH MESSAGE. We are told that meat eating should be done away with and that we (SDA's) should NOT eat cheese or other dairy products. Most of us agree on meat-eating. But many of us have not seen the light on eating dairy products (cheese, eggs, milk, butter, cream).
The SOP says,
"
1868 "Cheese should never be introduced into the stomach." 2T 68
1883 "All the elements of nutrition are contained in the fruits, vegetables, and grains." HL 96
1889 "Years ago I had a testimony of reproof for the managers in our campmeetings bringing upon the ground and selling to our people cheese and other hurtful things." CD 329
1890 "The effect of cheese is deleterious." CH 114
1896 "The simple grains, fruits of the trees, and vegetables have all the nutritive properties necessary to make good blood." HL 98
1898 "In a short time the milk of the cows will also be excluded from the diet of God's commandment-keeping people in a short time it will not be safe to use anything that comes from the animal creation." CD 411
1899 "The light given me is that it will not be very long before we shall have to give up using any animal food. Even milk will have to be discarded." CD 384
1901 "The time may come when it will not be safe to use milk.... The time will come when we may have to discard some of the articles of diet we now use, such as milk and cream and eggs.... The time will come when milk cannot be used as freely as it is now used.... But I wish to say that when the time comes that it is no longer safe to use milk, cream, butter, and eggs, God will reveal this.... We see that cattle are becoming greatly diseased, the earth itself is corrupted, and we know that the time will come when it will not be best to use milk and eggs." CD 357-9
1902 "Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught how to prepare food without the use of milk or butter. Tell them that the time will soon come when there will be no safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because disease in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of wickedness among men." 7T135
1903 "Vegetables, fruits, and grains should compose our diet. Not an ounce of flesh meat should enter our stomachs." CD 380
1905 "Cheese is... objectionable; it is wholly unfit for food." MH 302
1905 "Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator.... The grains, with fruits, nuts, and vegetables, contain ALL the nutritive properties necessary to make good blood.... The diet reform should be progressive. As disease in animals increases, the use of milk and eggs will become more and more unsafe... The people everywhere should be taught how to cook without milk and eggs, so far as possible, and yet have their food wholesome and palatable." MH 296, 316, 320-1
1906 "In grains, fruits, vegetables, and nuts are to be found ALL the food elements that we need." CDF 92, 310, 313
1909 "The time will come when we may have to discard some of the articles of diet we now use, such as milk and cream and eggs..." 9T162
"Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught how to prepare food without the use of milk or butter. Tell them that the time will soon come when there will be no safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because disease in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of wickedness among men. The time is near when, because of the iniquity of the fallen race, the whole animal creation will groan under the diseases that curse our earth. God will give His people ability and tact to prepare wholesome food without these things. Let our people discard all unwholesome recipes. Let them learn how to live healthfully, teaching to others what they have learned. Let them impart this knowledge as they would Bible instruction. Let them teach the people to preserve the health and increase the strength by avoiding the large amount of cooking that has filled the world with chronic invalids. By precept and example make it plain that the food which God gave Adam in his sinless state is the best for man's use as he seeks to regain that sinless state. {CD 460.5}"
...The last few words in the Counsels of Diet and Foods appendix, are those of James White regarding the counsels on health given to his wife: "...all changes in diet should be made carefully, one at a time. And while she [his wife, Ellen White] would say this to those who are in danger of making changes too rapidly, she would also say to the tardy, Be sure and not forget to change."
*Scripture says that you are to “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
It is my hope and prayer that you will do just that.
QUESTION: Should SDA's Eat/Drink Dairy Products (Cheese, Eggs, Milk, Butter, Cream)???
ANSWER: NO!

Thank you Freedom In Him. One of the misunderstood things is that God’s character does not change, but He can and has changed the rules as there are different administrations (stewardship of a household; Greek oikonomia; God’s household.
The old covenant was written to the Jews, Jesus was called to the lost sheep of The House of Israel and he told his disciples not to go to the Gentiles. The 7 church epistles are written to the body of Christ directly. We are under a greater law, the law of love, to love with the love of God. It takes time to read the church epistles of Romans through Thessalonians, and see the difference and changes from the old covenant to the Age of Grace, which is the new covenant.
See Chapter 15 of Acts for what was required of newly converted gentiles. Paul gives guidelines about holy days, eating and drinking, and how one man esteems one day while another man does not esteem, but they both do so to the Lord for conscience sake. The Hebrews and God never distinguished the ten commandments from the law, nor ceremonial law separate from so called moral law. The law is 613 commandments including the ten commandments. The obligation under law is all 613 commandments.
I have referred to the commandment of the sacred secrets as stated in Romans chapter 16: 25 et. seq.
No one talks about these commandments Paul refers to?
Well we differ in our beliefs regarding the 613 laws. We have Moses Law which contained the ceremonial laws and at the cross the law contained in ordinances..Moses Law...was nailed to the cross...The Ten Commandments were given seperately and were permanent. The ceremonies and feasts all pointed to Jesus coming..so they were no longer needed.
So this is what you are referring to as the "commandment of the sacred secrets"? ....."25Now to Him who is able to strengthen you by mygospel and by the proclamation of Jesus Christ,according to the revelation of the mystery concealedfor ages past, 26but now revealed and made known through the writings of the prophets by the command of the eternal God, in order to lead all nations to the obedience that comes from faith—… I went and looked up some commentaries which I found quite interesting and I thought I would post it here . ..

Time for me to hit the hay. God Bless.

Bible Study Guide by John Schoenheit, pages 51-53. I like a lot of Schoenheit's research and he is doing a tremendous job on The Revised English Version which is free online along with REV commentaries. I agree with the principles below, but disagree about the placement of the return of Christ before the Great Tribulation at the end of Grace Administration. You probably know that there are numerous positions about the return of Christ. Of special note, see below page 53 footnote 17 (go to bottom of last page pasted here.
BIBLE STUDY GUIDE:
G. PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ADMINISTRATIONS
One of the great truths of Scripture is that throughout history, God has righteously and resourcefully responded to man’s obedience and disobedience by changing the rules by which He wants men to live. Examples of God changing the rules abound, and the period of time governed by a given set of rules is referred to as an “administration,” or “dispensation.” Many theologians recognize the administrations in the Bible, and the theology of Dispensationalism became well known to the average preacher in America after the Scofield Study Bible was published in 1909, which contained many study notes on the administrations (which Scofield referred to as “dispensations,” as does the KJV).
We recognize eight administrations in the history of mankind: four of them are in the past, we live in the fifth administration (the Administration of Grace), and three are still future. The eight Administrations are
1) Original Paradise;
2) Conscience;
3) Civil Government;
4) Law;
5) Grace;
6) Tribulation;
7) Paradise;
8) Everlasting Kingdom.
Unfortunately, many Christians are taught to believe and live by “the whole Bible,” which sounds good, and does not seem to present a problem to those who do not read it or think much about it. Those Christians have not been taught to carefully discern what applies to them and what does not, other than having a nebulous concept that there are things in the Old Testament that do not apply to us. However, if one does not understand the administrations in the Bible, it becomes full of apparent contradictions, because the rules God gave people to live by differ through time. The following are some examples of God’s rules changing through time:
Example: Food regulations. In the Garden of Eden, God told Adam and Eve to eat only plants (Gen. 1:29). After the Flood, God changed the rules and allowed man to also eat meat (Gen. 9:3). When the Law Administration started, there were more and more clearly defined rules about eating. For example, eating pork or shellfish broke the Law and therefore was a sin (Lev. 11:4- 12). In the Grace Administration, God again changed the rules, and eating pork or shellfish is not a sin (which is not to say it is necessarily healthy).
Example: Sabbath regulations. Before the Law Administration, which started when God gave the Law to Moses, there was no specific regulation concerning the Sabbath. But when God gave the Law to Moses, He stipulated that anyone who worked on the Sabbath should be put to death (Exod. 31:14), and Moses executed a man for working on the Sabbath (Num. 15:32-36). Today,
51
in the Administration of Grace, God has changed the rules again and it is not a sin to work on the Sabbath (Rom. 14:5; Col. 2:16 and 17). Of course, it is still a good idea to take a day of rest.
Example: Marriage regulations. Before the Mosaic Law, people could have more than one wife, and they could also marry close relatives, just as Abraham married his half-sister, Sarah (Gen. 20:12). When God gave the Law, He forbade marrying a half-sister (Lev. 18:9), but He still allowed a man to have more than one wife (Ex 21:10). In the Administration of Grace to which we belong today, God changed the rules again, and now allows a man to have only one wife, and a woman only one husband (1 Cor. 7:2). Another marriage regulation that has changed is that under the Mosaic Law, if a married man died childless, his widow had to marry his brother and have children by him (Deut. 25:5-10), but now that rule no longer applies, and if a Christian woman’s husband dies, she can marry whoever she wants, as long as the person is a Christian (1 Cor. 7:39).
Example: Sacrificial regulations. It would be too much for this short study to detail all the sacrificial regulations and how they have changed, but a general overview is helpful. In the Original Paradise, Adam and Eve had no sin, so there was no need for any sacrifices. After the Fall, in the Administration of Conscience, there were sacrifices and regulations as to how they were to be carried out, as we see from the fact that both Cain and Abel brought sacrifices, and Abel’s was accepted and Cain’s was not. However, the sacrificial system was not covered by a large number of regulations. In the Law Administration, God added and clarified His rules concerning sacrifices, including very specific information as to what, where, when, how, and by whom, the sacrifices were to be done. In the Administration of Grace we have no animal sacrifices because God’s Son was the ultimate sacrifice for sin. Today we offer the “sacrifice of praise” from our lips (Heb. 13:15).
The point of the examples above is to show conclusively that God has indeed changed the rules mankind is to live by, and many more examples could be listed, including circumcision, Temple worship, the priesthood, and the tithe.
Most of the Administrations are not named in the Bible, which is one reason there is so much debate about them among theologians.16 The names that we of STF choose for the unnamed Administrations come from the characteristics of that particular Administration. For example, Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden under a specific set of God’s rules and regulations. That administration is not specifically named in the Bible, but the wonderful circumstances on earth, with no war or sickness, parallel the Millennial Kingdom when Christ will reign on earth for 1000 years and the Devil will be chained in the Abyss (Rev. 20:4-7). Since the Millennial Kingdom is called “Paradise” (Luke 23:43; 2 Cor. 12:4; Rev. 2:7), it seemed fitting to us to refer to the time in Eden as the “Original Paradise.”
16 In fact, theologians differ as to exactly how many Administrations there are in the Bible. Some theologians seem to start a new administration with every little difference or change of a rule, while others see the administrations in more general terms, and have fewer of them. “Ultradispensationalism” is the dispensational system that puts a new administration after Acts 28, thus creating an administration of the early Church (Acts 2-28). Ultradispensationalism gets rid of the “problem” those theologians have with speaking in tongues, prophecy, healings, and the other manifestations (sometimes wrongly called “gifts”) of holy spirit. Of course, it also puts the epistles of Romans, Corinthians, Galatians, and Thessalonians in the category of letters that are not written “to” the Church. The vast majority of dispensational theologians reject ultradispensationalism.
52
After the Fall, there were some regulations given by God, which was why Cain’s sacrifice was not acceptable, but in general mankind governed itself in the way they thought best. Thus, we refer to this as the “Administration of Conscience.” After the Flood, God gave mankind some specific rules for self-governance, so we refer to this administration as the “Administration of Civil Government.” The next administration is called the “Law” because of the Law of Moses, by which it was governed. The Fifth administration, the one we live in today, is referred to by two names in Scripture. It is called “the administration of the Grace of God” (Eph. 3:2) because of the dominance of the grace that God has poured out, and it is called, “the administration of the sacred secret” (Eph. 3:9), because the entire Administration was a secret, hidden in God from the foundation of the world.17 After the Rapture, which ends the Administration of Grace, comes the “Tribulation,” so named because of the tribulation all throughout it and how Jesus referred to it (Matt. 24:21, 29). Then comes the 1,000 years of Paradise (Luke 23:43), and finally the Everlasting Kingdom, so named because it never ends.
Knowing that there are different administrations, exactly when they begin and end, and the rules distinctly associated with each, is indispensable in explaining many of the apparent contradictions in the Bible. It is also indispensable in living righteously and obediently before God. A person who does not understand Administrations can become very confused if he thinks that all of God’s commands should be followed, because, as we have seen, the commandments are different in different administrations. For example, a person could have more than one wife, insist on everyone eating only plants, sacrifice an animal each time he sinned, and execute anyone who worked on Saturday, and support all of these actions with verses from the Bible. We must understand that the question we have to ask is not, “What does the Bible say,” but rather, “What does the Bible say to me?” The conservative theologian Martin Anstey wrote: “In this matter the golden rule is, ‘Distinguish the dispensations and the difficulties will disappear.’”18
17 The subject of the Administrations in the Bible is not well understood, and the Administration of the Sacred Secret is even less understood, so “Administration of the Sacred Secret” is our translation from the Greek text. Some versions have “dispensation” or “administration” of the “mystery,” which is very close, using “mystery” instead of “sacred secret,” which is the proper translation of the Greek word musterion. For a much better understanding of the Administration of the Sacred Secret, see Graeser, Lynn, Schoenheit, The Gift of Holy Spirit: The Power to Be Like Christ (Christian Educational Services, Indianapolis, IN, 2006), Appendix A.

God made no rule change regarding the Sabbath..God does not change. Unfortunately you have both laws mixed up instead of seperate, in which they were given. One was a permanent Moral law..The Ten Commandments and one was Moses Law.
Well we have different viewpoints. Christians can be sincere and disagree. SDA disagree. But there is no place for hatred. I dislike Elijah’s attitude, but I still pray for him.
I cannot find a record of the Sabbath being followed by man before the Law was given in the scriptures? Lack of understanding the administrations, as God communicated with man in sundry times and diverse manners; God’s character does not change, but He has changed the rules many ways. Paul stated about eating, drinking, holy days, etc. that some men esteem for conscience sake while others do not esteem them, but they both do so unto the Lord.
Paul said in Colossians 2:16; “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath (Sabbaton; Strongs #4521; “of Hebrew origin (); the Sabbath [i.e. Shabbath), or day of weekly repose from secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension, a se'nnight, i.e. the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications:--sabbath (day), week.
Believers can attend, eat, drink etc. what they want by their conscience or not do so because they are not compelled to do so. We have religious freedom thank God, both in conscience and law in this country. God will judge whether someone stands or falls. I will not attack your practice, but when people judge me, I don’t let them.
We are in the falling away period. I believe that all denominations have some truth, but also some error and all have been infiltrated by the wicked. There are believers that are born again in every denomination, but the wicked control at the top.
Believers are meant to walk with God, which also is called walking by the spirit. Most believers do not manifest holy spirit which is by the 9 manifestations of holy spirit, which all believers have the ability to do, but most do not because they don’t believe they have the gift, such word added with no authority in Corinthians 12, 13 and 14. The body of Christ has been hindered tremendously thereby as well as by lack of desire, unbelief, superstition, ignorance, wrong doctrine and lack of mentors and teachers that understand these lost sacred secrets in practice in the first century church.
So I have scriptures, conscience before God and reason why I do what I do or don’t do.
James said he detests me, well James the feeling is mutual you also said:
I cannot find a record of the Sabbath being followed by man before the Law was given in the scriptures?
Not Looking to hard are you? I paste the text here for you to read:
Exo 16:21 So they gathered it every morning, every man according to his need. And when the sun became hot, it melted.
Exo 16:22 And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Exo 16:23 Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD has said: 'Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.' "
Exo 16:27 Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none.
Exo 16:28 And the LORD said to Moses, "How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?
Exo 16:29 See! For the LORD has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day."
Exo 16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
This is in Chapter 16 the Commandments was not given until Chapter 20. A Simple search in a Concordance would have given you this answer. But you are so set in your ways so you can not accept anything new are you not.
The Ten Commandments were always known....sin is the breaking of these commandments. How would they have known how to sin in heaven if there was no law then. The Ten Commandments was followed and observed before given at Mt. Sinai...if you read up prior to that you will find it shows us this.The Sabbath was in at creation...and that was before Mt. Sinai. God has always been worshipped. If the Sabbath and the ten commandments were not to be kept, they would not be mentioned in the NT...and in Revelation...and the Bible would not say that the Sabbath will be kept in heaven as it is kept now. God is very specific about what we are to do. I sometimes think you are paying more attention to other books and sources before what God says in the Bible.. We should not..I am sda by the way...and I understand satans influence over us all...and I know how he leads us away from God's word to other sources written by people who believe way different than the scripture teachings..hence confusion and people following the wrong paths. However, I also believe that those who claim to have studied so much, need the Holy Spirit to direct them back to the Bible and allow Him to let God speak. There is no point berating or battering people about things they believe differently about. We are just to plant seeds. Obviously this is so in this case. Either we believe totally what GOD says and obey..or we believe MAN and his writings before God. I believe the Bible 100 per cent because I know it is 100 percent nspired by God..He chose the people to write things down....not everything could be written as it would have filled more books than could possibly be read.
here is the brief history of the Sabbath using a point by point overview on what truly happened in history in regards to the fourth Commandment. This takes us from creation through to an end time Church that God raised up to restore His Commandments and teach end time Bible prophecy.
It seems that many Christians either have the mentality of wanting to nail anything they do not like to the cross or are unable to tell the difference between the sacrificial law and God's moral law. All too often Christians see the word “law” in the Bible and assume it is the Ten Commandments. Why do so many assume that the ordinances and the Ten Commandments are the same thing? The only relationship between the two laws is that the moral law defines sin, as sin is the transgression of the Law. (1 John 3:4) And the “ordinances” or the “Law of Moses” and the many other names it is referred to in the Bible defined the sacrifices, which were the remedy for sin. The Old and New Testaments are abundantly clear what the ordinances and this worldly sacrificial sanctuary system were and their purpose. The King James Version should be used to study this topic as it is has the most accurate translation of this passage. Note the following points.
Note that Strong's dictionary says “feasts” and “holydays” are synonymous making Ezekiel 45:17 and Colossians 2:16 a perfect match and giving real clarity as to what law was nailed to the cross. As you can see by comparing these verses, the “ordinances” are part of “Mosaic Law” which is sometimes called the “ceremonial law” and hence the Ten Commandments and the ordinances are NOT the same thing.
Thus before the cross there was both the Sacrificial Law and the Moral Law and we know that one of these laws was nailed to the cross. I would hope it is now obvious which law but let's clarify further anyway.
What was sacrificed before the cross for sin and who became our Passover Lamb? Did Jesus become the Lamb of God and our one and final perfect sacrifice? And so did the sacrifice of Christ permanently end the Sacrificial Law? The answer of course is yes.
So while there is this mentality of many Christians wanting to nail everything to the cross, the only thing that in fact was is that which was practiced for sin before Jesus replaced this law by becoming our perfect sacrifice.
Read the following page comparing the Ten Commandments and the ceremonial law for very detailed information. To see that the KJV Bible has translated this passage extremely well and the phrase “sabbath days” is definitely plural, which also verifies that these are ceremonial sabbaths, see the following web site on Colossians 2:16. See also was the Sabbath nailed to the cross and Adam Clarke and Albert Barnes Commentaries.
Thus we find it was not the Ten Commandments that were nailed to the cross but the ordinances of the Mosaic Law.
My reference should be clarified: The Exodus period, wherein Moses was chosen by God to lead the people out of Egypt and into the promised land, that was a new chapter and administration.
When a previous administration ends and a new one begins, there is a transition from one to the other new one; The Stewardship
of God's household. Other than God 's reference in Genesis there is no mention of Shabbot in scripture until your reference in the Exodus period. I had forgotten about that reference as the giving of the law comes to mind as the big event. But these rules were not known, enforced or obeyed apparently before the Exodus period. That still does not detroy the fact that there is no record in the Word of God before. Anything about shabbot being universal or that the Law or 10 commandments are universal are conjecture as the Exodus reference you refer to as well as the subsequent giving of the law was written to the Hebrews. The Gentiles were without law.
The Hebrews did not separate the 10 Commandments from the law, as all the law was 613 laws.
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." Romans 10:4.
People are made righteous by faith, not by works including attending Shabbot etc. Many read EGW more than reading Paul's epistles, which spply directly to the body of Christ.
James said:
"My reference should be clarified: The Exodus period, wherein Moses was chosen by God to lead the people out of Egypt and into the promised land, that was a new chapter and administration."
That is just a copout James Either there was no Sabbat Known Before Mount Sinai or it was Known. I have seen a lot of objections to the Sabbath but that was the poorest one I have seen And You claim to be a super Bible student?
Any way read Freedoms Posts and answer those if you can superman.
