I was listening to a  bible study program  and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were brought up.  It occurred to me since both cities were destroyed off the face of the earth with eternal hell fire   will those inhabitants  even be brought back during the resurrection of  the wicked? Or were they destroyed never to return again even for judgement. Cause as we all remember Lot and his family were told not to look back and Angels entered the city.  We all know what happened when Lot's wife decided to disobey and look back.  I know God does not take pleasure in destroying the wicked or showing his anger , but could it have also been that God the Son actually revealed himself to the city dwellers  on that fateful day and handed out their final judgement and punishment at the same time?  God certainly used it as an example of the fate of the wicked in the end, but perhaps it was  also the early ultimate end for Sodom and Gomorrah in that they will not even glimpse the New Jerusalem.

Mat 11:24

But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.

JESUS is looking ahead in the future

Thanks Man Flower, I totally forgot that verse. So those people will be brought back  in  the final judgement. Kind of scary to think after what they went through, some may experience much much worse in the end. A call for us all to get it right. Not that fear of the Lord and hell fire  should be the motivation but it certainly is a strong incentive.
