That is a common problem that seems to have universal impact from kids to the elderly. Friday nights and Sabbath afternoons can seem to last forever to a kid. Too often adults handle it by napping! Better choices are studying the Word, visiting others, prayer, hiking, worshiping God in nature. Maybe start a Friday night vespers group. Get friends together to spend an afternoon fellowshiping. Not sure if that is your problem though!

my understanding of the thought on the Sabbath afternoon page is this --
.
People sometimes think that soldiers can be "immune" from guilt when they kill somebody [like that old man], because they were just "following orders". But that is not right. The men that nailed Jesus to the cross might have thought, "we were just following orders", and yet God holds them accountable for the part they played in the killing. (Rev 1:7)
.
The same principle applies to any religious persecution. "I was just following orders" won't excuse anyone in the judgment.
Sabbath my friend is a day set aside for doing redemption in others....
Jesus commanfs this from the Ten Commandment ammended moral law
Here's the over looked statement
De 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep "asah" do the sabbath day.
The Hebrew word "asah" is a general doing verb
We are commended to do on Sabbath....
Do what ?
Do what Jesus did on Sabbaths....heal people, talk to people about salvation, save people through Jesus' Name
The reason why we don't do Sabbath rpoperly us because our church does not follow Sabbath properly....
Some of us are fearful, lame and scared....
Think about it, when was the last time you did some missionary work for Jesus in your own backyard ?
Happy Sabbath.....

Permalink Reply by Stewart on February 7, 2012 at 12:18pm Anthony, as far as the GRACE component goes, do you mean that grace was shown to the rebellious angels, before they were actually cast out of heaven?

GOD gave lucifer and his angels many oppurtunities to see the errors of the ways
GOD loves them too and didnt want to see them die
Permalink Reply by Anthony Manns on February 8, 2012 at 5:30am Yes. God could have wiped them out, but He did not. It is also said that the 144,000 will be replacing those fallen angels when Jesus comes. That's in Haskells book under the 144,000.
