The Seventh-day Adventist church by evaluation through the scriptures is definitely the Remnant church in these last days.

Solely because they satisfy the requirements for being the remnant; thus they officially accept that all the ten commandments should be kept(including the Holy Sabbath) and also have the spirit of prophecy.

What then is the advantage of being the remnant church and what impact does it have on its members?

Help me out in answering this question.

It places you in the strongest position possible to discover a walk with God.

And lets you know exactly where in time you are.
You have the privilege and blessing of the writings of God's last-day prophet, which God gave in order to protect His remnant people from false doctrines and keep us on the right way to the kingdom.

If we fully cooperate with God, accepting and practicing the Three Angels Messages, God uses us to help prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ.
Just because God gave a prophet in order to protect His people from false doctrines doesn't mean that they listen and obey.

To the same degree that the Jewish Church rejected Christ, the Seventh-day Adventist Church accepts Antichrist.
I believe that you're a little too hasty in your conclusions.

Ellen White wrote:

"Will the churches heed the Laodicean message? Will they repent, or will they, notwithstanding that the most solemn message of truth—the third angel’s message—is being proclaimed to the world, go on in sin? This is the last message of mercy, the last warning to a fallen world. If the church of God becomes lukewarm, it does not stand in favor with God any more than do the churches that are represented as having fallen and become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive the truth and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment-keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive of the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God. Only those that are sanctified through the truth will compose the royal family in the heavenly mansions Christ has gone to prepare for those that love Him and keep His commandments." 19MR 176.

Hi Shubee,

The quote from 19 MR 176 does not contradict what I said:

"You have the privilege and blessing of the writings of God's last-day prophet, which God gave in order to protect His remnant people from false doctrines and keep us on the right way to the kingdom.

If we fully cooperate with God, accepting and practicing the Three Angels Messages, God uses us to help prepare the world for the Second Coming of Christ."

I agree with everything the prophet of God says in the Manuscript Releases. I am saying that if we fully cooperate with God and study the things that God has revealed through the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, we will be protected from accepting the false doctrines that trouble so many churches and people.
My reply citing 19 MR 176 wasn't directed to you. It was directed to the opening post by Godfred Kwesi Ataburo.

What I directed to your message does contradict what you wrote. I believe it's too late for many Seventh-day Adventists to get protected from accepting pan-Gnostic Adventist spiritualism because many have already accepted it and can not recover.

"For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness." —2 Thessalonians 2:8-12.

Where does the Bible say that anyone can recover from that? Prophecy is being fulfilled at this very moment.
Well that statement speaks the truth. Thanks for sharing it with us. And notice that it says that the third angel's message is a message of "mercy" even though the church and the world have apostatised from the truth. "The revelation of His own glory in the form of humanity will bring Heaven so near to men that the beauty adorning the inner temple will be seen in every soul in whom the Saviour dwells. Men will be CAPTIVATED by the glory of an abiding Christ and in currents of praise and thanksgiving from the many souls THUS won to God, glory will flow back to the great Giver." C.O.L.420.

Here is what Mrs. White understood to be the third angel's message in verity: "The people were invited to receive the righteousness of Christ which is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God... You cannot explain this faith that lays right hold upon the merits of the crucified and risen Saviour to bring Christ's righteousness into the life. Clothed with His righteousness and not with your own righteousness, you will not depend upon what you can do or what you will do," for "Christ's righteousness accomplishes everything." T.M.92; F.W.65,66,.27.

Romans 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit [is there] of circumcision?
3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

The biggest advantage is the oracles of God. We have the message that God has for mankind, and discernment in all matters.

Now, it may look like other churches are more liberal, and lively, and they share fellowship with more people, and can be inter-denominational, and don't have as many rules, and get political recognition.

But they reject so many things that are vitally important. And this cripples them in their spiritual development. They just have a few doctrines they keep mulling over in their Bible studies. Just simple stuff. It's sad. It's like a retarded person who is as old as a grow man, but still has the mind of a child. They never grow up. They never get off the milk of the Gospel and into the meat of the Gospel. They are still babies.

Because of lack of knowledge, they have so many superstitions, and they have to blaspheme the name of God by believing and teaching that God is torturing people in hell right now, and they will continue suffering for all eternity. The atheists have a ball with that one.

Their main focus is on singing and praise and all kinds of social activities and events. They say doctrine doesn't matter. Prophecy doesn't matter.

So just consider the alternative. A lot of people in these churches are burdened for the spiritual deadness they see in their church, and they will go seeking, and we need to be ready for that.

But you can still be an Adventist, even if you are not a member of the SDA church according to the official ledger. The way things are now, you could get disfellowshipped for having a preference for the authority of Scripture, instead of the authority of the church, when the two conflict.

David Koresh, for example, got disfellowshipped for following Scripture instead of emotional human traditions. Then he turned into a cult leader. What a tragedy!
I don't believe that David Koresh got disfellowshipped for following Scripture. Seventh-day Adventists that follow Scripture get threatened with arrest for coming to Church; they are never disfellowshipped.

There was another time I got kicked out of a Literature Evangelism program, when I disagreed with the leader over the teaching of Pacifism. He said the soldiers are "vessels of dishonor". We need them, but they do the dirty work. They sin to protect us. Weird.

It's ironic the pacifists say you commit murder by carrying a weapon. Then they commit murder, by hating their brethren and kicking them out:

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Matt. 5:21 ...Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:
What is your evidence that David Koresh got disfellowshipped for following God's word?
Well said brother. But could u elaborate a little as to how Koresh was disfellowshipped because of the word of God? From what I could see and understand D. Koresh was teaching his own private interpretations on prophecies esp regarding the last days.

thanks
