Jared,

i couldn't help but to notice your mention of davidians in detail. would you classify yourself as a true davidian ?  i believe genie was asking you this question, if you are a true davidian.

sir james

Sorry, i dont get you. For me the davidian thing is absurd.

My advise, stop claiming yourselves as an SDA coz you are not. We differ when it comes to doctrines and beliefs and stop confusing people.It irritates me.

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

ANSWER: NO - Davidian and Seventhday Adventist CANNOT walk together..I'm not here to condemn you, but better learn fast before the probation closes. Jesus is coming soon brother. No time to play around.

Hello Genie,

Don't misinterpret me, the Lord said. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:.." Isaiah 1:18.

You wrote:"My advise, stop claiming yourselves as an SDA coz you are not."

It's true, Jesus, through His testimony in the writings of His prophetess (Sis. White), did give to His people the name Seventh-day Adventist. And since Davidians know that it is God's church, then that is the reason why they claim to be Seventh-day Adventists. But Davidians also know that Jesus will reorganize His church and give it another name as He said by His prophet Isaiah: "And ye shall leave your name {Seventh-day Adventists} for a curse unto my chosen [the 144,000]: For the Lord God shall slay thee {wicked tares in their midst}, and call his servants by another name.' Isa. 65:15." (1 S.R. 101:0).

We should know that it was the Lord Jesus who gave to the kingdom of ancient Israel their name from Jacob (Gen. 32:28); and that because of their sins they lost their kingdom. Then in the days of Jesus they crucified Him, and after His resurrection He reorganized His church. Then He no longer called them the children of Israel, but He called them by another name --"Christians" (Acts 11:26)! So likewise today. In 1901 Jesus told His prophetess (Sis. White) that the Seventh-day Adventist church needed "reorganization," and she wrote these words:

"That these men should stand in a sacred place to be as the voice of God to the people, as we once believed the General Conference to be,--that is past. What we want now is reorganization."--General Conference Bulletin, April 3, 1901 (bold emphasis added).

"Can two walk together except they be agreed?"--Amos 3:3.

It's true, the true doctrine can never agree with false doctrine and neither can teachers of truth and teachers of tradition walk together.

You wrote:"Better learn fast before the probation closes."

I agree, the world has never seen a more religious group, nor a more praying and pious people than were the priests, scribes, and Pharisees in Christ's day. Yet they were the very ones who protested against Christ's teachings, who spread prejudice and confusion among the people and who kept them in darkness! Yes, they deceived a whole nation. Finally, if the Jewish Sanhedrin was not to be trusted at Christ's first advent, then how do we know that the Christian's Sanhedrin at Christ's second advent is to be unquestionably correct? It was the Sanhedrins of the middle ages and down to this day that have fought against any Divinely led Reformation.

If such has been the experience of the past, and if we all had to make up our own minds for or against the Advent truth in opposition to the decisions of the priests and ministers in our former churches, and if this was the only method of finding Truth then, why should it not be so now? Have we now become less capable than we were before becoming Adventists? Are our prayers now failing to bring results? Has the Spirit left us? or have we turned away from Him?

The idea that we, as Seventh-day Adventists, have all the Truth we need, that we are "rich and increased with goods," in need of nothing more, is the idea with which the Sanhedrin in Christ's day indoctrinated the minds of the people, and to this day the Jewish nation has not recovered from the effects. Do not our Seventh-day Adventist brethren therefore stand in the same degenerating position of rejecting any light that God may send, if it does not agree with their ideas? And even if Christ Himself should bring it down, and if it disagree with theirs, would they not like the Jews of old be dangerously tempted to crucify Him if they could? O the great need for revival and reformation! And if such be the condition of the people in our own church, then what can be expected elsewhere? Return unto Me, for why should you perish? is Heaven's cry.

Those who are inclined to question the ability of God to lead one into all truth, are not only unconsciously denying the faithfulness of His Word, but they also minimize His power by their act, and thus have "Limited the Holy One of Israel." (Psa. 78:41.)

May the Lord help us,

Jared.

genie,

thank you for sharing your thoughts once again. in response to the davidians and adventist walking together, your answer was well received, and indeed we cannot walk together with them. however we can agree to disagree on any issue, we can dialogue

and discuss things openly.

allow me to say this, if it wasn't for adventist online, i would have never known about the davidians and the shepherds rod, the last i heard about them was in waco texas.

i thought they got all burned up in the ranch they owned. this made world headlines,

and until recently i never knew they were still alive.

there other issues, like evolution and lunar sabbath here at adventist online. you may want to voice out your comments there as well.

sir james

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

There are a few principles that beckon your consideration. Please consider these things carefully and prayerfully.

As humans we have a tendency to focus on other people and their faults, I see discussion here about how Davidians are arrogant, dishonest, deceiptful, and also all this discussion about "true davidians" and "false davidians", and so on. Let me just say that without a doubt there are arrogant Davidians, and dishonest, deceiptful, false, ect.. In fact, the worst sinners in the world may go by the name "davidian". But lets think for a second, what should we expect?

Just because somebody professes something and is a sinner, does that make the thing they are professing false? If that was the case, we would have to throw out the third angel's message right? For the True Witness says that the Angel of the Laodiceans is in a terrible condition. But does that make the 3rd Angel's Message false?? NO, definitely not. Does that make the SDA church false?? NO, most definitely not. So if we are to be straight thinkers we and honest people, we must admit that just because there are terrible Davidians out there, that that in itself doesn't make the Shepherd's Rod wrong.

Also, to focus on this brings us into a terrible condition, for "by beholding we become changed." We need to remember that people are people and we have carnal natures. A

A quick note about the history posted by Jared as well, I have to say that that isn't all true, but at the some time, none of you can take my word for it or his, God calls us each individually to "study to show ourselves approved".

So lets put aside all this talk of the wickedness and apostasy of others and lets deal with the Word, for the Word is Truth. And if we are ever going to reflect the character of Christ Mwenge was speaking of, we need to hang better pictures in memories hall.

Here is a poem for everyone to consider. And yes it is from the Shepherd's Rod literature, but don't let that Devil prejudice your mind from reading a good poem. May the Lord Bless you all, and may we all grow in Chrsitian Love,

This is from Symbolic Code Volume 5 Nos1-5 page 12.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY

In speaking of a person's faults,

      Pray don't forget your own;

Remember those with homes of glass,

      Should seldom throw a stone;

If we have nothing else to do

      But talk of those who sin,

'Tis better we commence at home,

      And from that point begin.

We have no right to judge a man

      Until he's fairly tried;

Should we not like his company,

      We know the world is wide.

Some may have faults--and who has not?

      The old as well as young;

Perhaps we may, for aught we know,

      Have fifty to their one.

I'll tell you of a better plan,

      And find it works full well;

To try my own defects to cure,

      Before of others tell;

And though I sometimes hope to be

      No worse than some I know,

My own shortcomings bid me let

      The faults of others go.

Then let us all, when we commence

      To slander friend or foe,

Think of the harm one word may do

      To those we little know.

Remember curses sometimes like

      Our chickens, "roost at home."

Don't speak of others' faults until

      We have none of our own.

      --Joseph Kronthal.
