Where is Colporteur ?

I haven't seen him here for awhile .

[ Note from Adventist Online: Colporteur has been restricted from posting on Adventist Online. His conduct toward others broke our Site Rules & Guidelines. We have contacted him on multiple occasions about his poor personal treatment of other members. When no response was received from him and no change was seen in his manner of posting, we insisted he converse with us on this topic before posting again. He chose not to do so and was subsequently restricted. He has chosen not to interact with or respond to messages written to him by AO moderators since his restriction and thus remains restricted from posting.

He was not restricted because of his theology or beliefs. He was restricted for his poor personal treatment of those who did not agree with him.

No matter how correct one is (or thinks they are), they must still treat others in a Christ-like manner. When posting on Adventist Online, they must follow our Site Rules & Guidelines. Habitual failure to follow our rules will result in a temporary restriction on posting. The response to the moderators counsel from the offending member determines if they regain the privilege of posting on Adventist Online. ]

He was banned or blocked, or something to that effect, for breaking the site rules

there are 4 people that left cause of COLPORTEUR and a few others that i know of (look up)

The things he has said to me and the others will not be missed and forgivenness is offered

Man Flower I've been looking through the forum to see who left because of Colporteur and have failed to find any. I do recall, however, that Teresa and Colporteur had some major differences of opinion. Is she one of the four? Who are the others? I would be hesitant to say she left because of him. Again, I noticed that Colporteur and Jill also had differences of opinion, but Jill is still here. I've once in a while differed with fellow church members (for example on SoP, women's ordination, homosexuality and politricks). I cannot leave the church just because we have different opinions. Peter and Paul had major differences (on evangelizing the Gentiles, for example), but none of them left the church. I'm not saying AO is the church, but the example of Peter and Paul shows our tolerance levels (of each other's views) should be higher than that of worldlings.

I will confirm that multiple members have left Adventist Online because of their treatment at the hands of this member. The offending behavior they noted to was always behavior that broke our rules. The moderators attempted to counsel the offending member on this behavior. We were not successful.

That said, I'm not sure trying to identify members who have left is constructive. We don't need that information to know that poor behavior hurts other people. Let's just fix the poor behavior.

It is possible to disagree and treat each other with the love of Christ apparent in every interaction. I encourage that behavior every way I can.

That is really sad.

I'm going to miss him.

I notice that since there have been many changes from conference for the tolerance of certain ideas,of which the spirit of prophesy does not agree with, there have been much controversy within God's people. But ,we must learn to grow together, until the day of harvest. Remember: the wheat and the tares must grow together.

I do know its not going to be easy. That much I know.

This word "tare" have been avoided by preachers for several years due misinterpretation or misuse of it! Myself avoid the unnecessary use of it since my preaching from.pulpit starts long time ago but sometimes tge trumpet must sound! Its not easy to understand and we members are getting too sensible and too afraid of real judgemental ppl yhat nowdays any helper who try admonish us is seing doing wrong job!
I dream about the day all of us can deak with rebuke without feeling offended and so we can grow up improving our life! We will miss the reproaches of our real brothes that had tried to alert us......

maybe he finally got offline and went door to door selling some books

and in the process had another life changing experience with the CHRIST and opened a shelter in a big city that ministers to gays,prostitutes , and drug addicts

and forever changed

or maybe his computer cracked
