It is a solemn statement that I make to the church, that not one in twenty whose names are registered upon the church books are prepared to close their earthly history, and would be as verily without God and without hope in the world as the common sinner.--ChS 41 (1893).

Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive of the truth and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment-keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God.--19MR 176 (1898).

Anthony i like the way you answer. I Like the way you start "now I see your problem."

Do you know what you Davidian most stop doing stop reinterprets things that are alread interpreted.

Read Him as it read. Take Him as He read.

Peace

I believe you are interpreting "the end of the world " as just being the time Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him....

.... Instead of interpreting "end of the world " as spanning a period of time from the start of harvest time of ingathering to the end of harvest , which is also the end of probationary time.

The start of the 7 last plagues is considered "the end of the world ", but it's not the absolute end, the absolute end is when Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him.

EGW : The tares closely resembled the wheat while the blades were green; but when the field was white for the harvest, the worthless weeds bore no likeness to the wheat that bowed under the weight of its full, ripe heads. Sinners who make a pretension of piety mingle for a time with the true followers of Christ, and the semblance of Christianity is calculated to deceive many; but in the harvest of the world there will be no likeness between good and evil. Then those who have joined the church, but who have not joined Christ, will be manifest. – {COL 74.3}

"In the harvest for the world there won't be likeness between good and evil"... This is before Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him.. During the harvest or "in the harvest " there won't be mingling between sinners and saints.

When do you believe harvest takes place?

Do you believe the "end of probationary time" is the time of Jesus' second coming when all eyes can see Him?

What do you believe the reason is for the shaking in the Church?

There is a reason the questions aren't being answered... Unfortunately, there is a teaching in the SDA Church that is not true, it didn't come from EGW.

 Like brother Benicio and Jason teaches, some believe tares will be mingled with the wheat until the time Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him. That is not true.... right before the Loud Cry is given there will be a change in GOD'S Church, the SDA Church.

EGW : The tares closely resembled the wheat while the blades were green; but when the field was white for the harvest, the worthless weeds bore no likeness to the wheat that bowed under the weight of its full, ripe heads. Sinners who make a pretension of piety mingle for a time with the true followers of Christ, and the semblance of Christianity is calculated to deceive many; but in the harvest of the world there will be no likeness between good and evil. Then those who have joined the church, but who have not joined Christ, will be manifest. – {COL 74.3}

Many who think themselves Christians will at last be found wanting. Many will be in heaven who their neighbors supposed would never enter there. Man judges from appearance, but God judges the heart. The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time{COL 71.3}

The Saviour does not point forward to a time when all the tares become wheat. The wheat and tares grow together until the harvest, the end of the world. Then the tares are bound in bundles to be burned, and the wheat is gathered into the garner of God. “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.” Then “the Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” {COL 75.1}

 But, pleasing though it may be, it is contrary to the teachings of Christ and His apostles, who declared that the wheat and the tares are to grow together until the harvest, the end of the world; that “evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse;” that “in the last days perilous times shall come;” and that the kingdom of darkness shall continue until the advent of the Lord and shall be consumed with the spirit of His mouth and be destroyed with the brightness of His coming. Matthew 13:30, 38-412 Timothy 3:13, 12 Thessalonians 2:8{GC 321.1}

He expressly states that the wheat and tares shall grow together till the harvest, which is the end of the world. Then the tares are to be gathered out of the field; but they are not to be transformed by a mighty miracle into wheat. They are to remain tares, and are to be cast into the fire and utterly destroyed. {2SP 250.1}

Brother Jason, do you think we are discussing or reasoning together? That's what we do here, discuss! Again, you keep posting quotes without using your reasoning faculties, and without answering questions doesn't help you.

 I understand what you believe the quotes are saying, in a nutshell, you believe these quotes means that tares will be in GOD'S Church till Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him, which is the end of the world, literally.

  I'm saying when we read SOP in its totality there are quotes that puts a microscope on this particular subject. I've posted many things and you choose not to reason together, but let's try again.

EGW : The tares closely resembled the wheat while the blades were green; but when the field was white for the harvest, the worthless weeds bore no likeness to the wheat that bowed under the weight of its full, ripe heads. Sinners who make a pretension of piety mingle for a time with the true followers of Christ, and the semblance of Christianity is calculated to deceive many; but in the harvest of the world there will be no likeness between good and evil. Then those who have joined the church, but who have not joined Christ, will be manifest. – COL 74.3

"In the harvest for the world there won't be likeness between good and evil"...

 This is before Jesus comes in the clouds when all eyes can see Him.. During the harvest or "in the harvest " there won't be mingling between sinners and saints.

 When do you believe harvest takes place?

EGW: "The tares and the wheat are to grow together until the harvest; and the harvest is the end of probationary time."

Do you believe the "end of probationary time" is the time of Jesus' second coming when all eyes can see Him?

 The SDA teaching is that the end of probationary time is right after the harvest ends, and right before the last plagues start.

The SDA Church going out to bring in the great multitude won't be bringing the saints from the fallen churches and the world into a Church mingled with sinners. There will be a shaking in the Church to get rid of those who don't belong first.

EGW: "...but in the harvest of the world there will be no likeness between good and evil. Then those who have joined the church, but who have not joined Christ, will be manifest. – COL 74.3

What do you believe the reason is for the shaking in the Church?

 Blessings!

again you don't understand what the quote you posted is saying. asked yourself who is doing the harvest, while keeping in mind that the harvest is the end of the world and the end of probationary time as the prophet started.

"...until the harvest, the end of the world;" {COL 75.1; 2SP 250.1}

 "...and the harvest is the end of probationary time." {COL 71.3}

please try to remember how paragraphs are written. ask yourself what is the Topic sentence, the supporting sentences and the concluding sentence or the transitory one.

The topic sentence is :" The tares so closely resembled the wheat that the laborers might easily be deceived when the blades were green, and root out the good plants"

so as a human observer we may not be able to distinguish between the two

but when Jesus comes for the harvest  there will be 'no likeness between good and evil'. Jesus sees more that the human can perceive and as a result his judgement is not like human, who cannot read the heart.

Here is the same quote in another paragraph with a clearer topic sentence. I will highlight the topic of this paragraph :

Not condemnation and judgment of others, but humility and distrust of self is the teaching of Christ’s parable. Not all that is sown in the field is good grain. The fact that men are in the church does not prove them Christians. The tares closely resembled the wheat while the blades were green; but when the field was white to the harvest, the worthless weeds bore no likeness to the wheat that bowed under the weight of its full, ripe heads. Sinners who make a pretension of piety mingle for a time with the true followers of Christ, and the semblance of Christianity is calculated to deceive many; but in the harvest of the world, there will be no likeness between good and evil. Then those who have joined the church, but have not joined Christ, will be manifest. {Lt86-1907.13}

if we can summarize these two paragraph is a few words it would read : 'leave judgement to God or

"Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

or

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

this is from the same page with the quote you posted, actually it's the continuation of the though

Christ Himself will decide who are worthy to dwell with the family of heaven. He will judge every man according to his words and his works. Profession is as nothing in the scale. It is character that decides destiny. {COL 74.4}

Peace

Praise GOD, thank you my brother... :)

 I understand what you are saying,

Jason wrote: "so as a human observer we may not be able to distinguish between the two "

Yes, of course, all this work is done by Christ and His angels... I don't disagree with you on that. As far as humans being able to distinguish between the two, in the present, I agree.. However, the time of the Latter rain, those, mainly the 144,000 will distinguishable. The SDA Church will give the Loud Cry for those in the fallen churches and the world to come into GOD'S Church. There are not coming into a Church mingled with tares. That's why a shaking has to happen first.

 The Power of GOD in the people of GOD will be distinguishable the time of the Latte rain.

EGW : "The work will be similar to that of the Day of Pentecost. As the “former rain” was given, in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the opening of the gospel, to cause the upspringing of the precious seed, so the “latter rain” will be given at its close for the ripening of the harvest. “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Hosea 6:3. “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain.” Joel 2:23. “In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh.” “And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:17, 21. – {GC 611.2}
The great work of the gospel is not to close with less manifestation of the power of God than marked its opening. The prophecies which were fulfilled in the outpouring of the former rain at the opening of the gospel are again to be fulfilled in the latter rain at its close. Here are “the times of refreshing” to which the apostle Peter looked forward when he said: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; and He shall send Jesus.” Acts 3:19, 20. – {GC 611.3}
Servants of God, with their faces lighted up and shining with holy consecration, will hasten from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven. By thousands of voices, all over the earth, the warning will be given. Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed, and signs and wonders will follow the believers. Satan also works, with lying wonders, even bringing down fire from heaven in the sight of men. Revelation 13:13. Thus the inhabitants of the earth will be brought to take their stand. – {GC 612.1}
The message will be carried not so much by argument as by the deep conviction of the Spirit of God. The arguments have been presented. The seed has been sown, and now it will spring up and bear fruit. The publications distributed by missionary workers have exerted their influence, yet many whose minds were impressed have been prevented from fully comprehending the truth or from yielding obedience. Now the rays of light penetrate everywhere, the truth is seen in its clearness, and the honest children of God sever the bands which have held them. Family connections, church relations, are powerless to stay them now. Truth is more precious than all besides. Notwithstanding the agencies combined against the truth, a large number take their stand upon the Lord’s side. – {GC 612.2}

 Why do you think GOD'S special end people to give the Loud Cry will not be distinguishable?

 EGW: " The great outpouring of the Spirit of God, which lightens the whole earth with His glory, will not come until we have an enlightened people, that know by experience what it means to be laborers together with God. When we have entire, wholehearted consecration to the service of Christ, God will recognize the fact by an outpouring of His Spirit without measure; but this will not be while the largest portion of the church are not laborers together with God".—Christian Service, 253 (1896). – {LDE 193.3}

 In other words, the tares must be shaken out before the great outpouring of GOD'S Spirit is given.

Blessings!

Reasoning asked :

" Why do you think GOD'S special end people to give the Loud Cry will not be distinguishable? "

who said such?

Peace

Jason wrote: "who said such? "

  So you believe the righteous saints who GOD uses to give the Loud Cry by the Power of the Holy Spirit will be distinguishable by humans during the Loud Cry?

EGW: "Servants of God, their faces shining with holy consecration, will hasten from place to place to proclaim the message from heaven. Miracles will be wrought, the sick will be healed."

 Base on this statement, Will GOD'S Church/people be distinguishable to humans during the time of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the Loud Cry?

EGW: "Not condemnation and judgment of others, but humility and distrust of self is the teaching of Christ’s parable. Not all that is sown in the field is good grain. The fact that men are in the church does not prove them Christians. The tares closely resembled the wheat while the blades were green; but when the field was white to the harvest, the worthless weeds bore no likeness to the wheat that bowed under the weight of its full, ripe heads. Then those who have joined the church, but have not joined Christ, will be manifest. {Lt86-1907.13}

 SOP says sinners mingle for a time with the true followers of Christ, they are looking like Christians in order to deceive many, ".. but in the harvest of the world, there will be no likeness between good (wheat) and evil (tares). EGW says those who have joined the Church , but hasn't joined Christ. will be manifest.

 Do you believe the Saints who are  endowed with the Holy Spirit will be able to manifest or distinguish between other saints endowed with the outpouring, compared to those who aren't?

EGW : "The great outpouring of the Spirit of God, which lightens the whole earth with His glory, will not come until we have an enlightened people, that know by experience what it means to be laborers together with God. When we have entire, wholehearted consecration to the service of Christ, God will recognize the fact by an outpouring of His Spirit without measure; but this will not be while the largest portion of the church are not laborers together with God.—Christian Service, 253 (1896). – {LDE 193.3}

  Can we agree the outpouring of the Holy Spirit won't happen "..while the largest portion of the church are not laborers together with GOD"?

 In other words, can we agree the tares has to be shaken out of the Church, and then the outpouring/Latter rain without measure will be given by the Spirit of GOD?

  Thank you for your time. Blessings! :)

I thought we were clean on what the "the harvest of the world" meant?

why do we have to go over this again?
