As Adventists we believe in the soon coming of our Saviour and therefore we must also believe that there will be a time of great trouble before He comes, so is it wise to bring children into the world at this time? Doesn't it show that those having babies now don't really believe what the Bible tells us?
Why would anyone want to bring new life into this ever increasingly wicked world?

we have to occupy until he comes . And to answer the second part , it doesn't show that don't believe in God if we have babies now.
While I do agree today's world is too wicked to bring children into it, I must say I know not of such a mandate given to not have kids in the final days.
Exactly, then what next don't work on your dreams of owning a house, car, etc
No guarantee the kids will grow up to be righteous.
Amen. :D I am a strong supporter of Adoption. I see it as a ministry. Those kids can grow up learning the Truth of God's word.
God didn't say not to have kids, he just had great sorrow and pity for us because he knew it would be extremely difficult in as the world has become more and more sinful. As someone who has taught in public schools, I would say please christians, have more children and raise them to be God fearing! We need more young christian soldiers.
Why would we not? No one knows when Jesus will return. It could be tomorrow, it could be in a hundred years. God never forbid having children, and in fact many times called the sound of children in a home a blessing.
If we all stop having children because Jesus might come soon, we cease to be a church and become a cult.
William Miller first introduced his teachings to the public in 1825. It is now 2014, 189 years later. Need I say more?
Then there is Paul's counsel to the Thessalonians on this very matter as well. They actually were refusing to have children, to work and many other similar problems because someone told them the coming was soon (as was being taught in those days as well.
3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
The lawless one will only be revealed at the very end, immediately before the second coming. Until that time there will be much evil visible in the world, and as Jesus said, this will only be the beginnings of birth pangs, it will still take some time before the second coming actually occurs. So we have seen an "ever increasingly wicked world" for 1950+ years since Paul wrote this and almost 200 years since our movement started. Although I have not seen such specific advice in this letter, I have been told before that Paul told them to keep making Babies and keep living life normally. I believe we are to do the same. We are specifically not told when he is coming for a reason. He may come next fall, or he may come in the fall 25 years from now. We simply are not told when and are to live our lives as if we didn't have that knowledge.
