I believe it depends on the teacher, and the Quarterly itself. Sometimes the subjects get so "scholastic" and the presentation in the quarterly the same. It's not that I can't understand; it just seems that personal application is so often missing. We can have all the "theological" discussions we want, but if it doesn't help us in our life, they are futile.
I like Sabbath school,so much. I enjoy hearing the views and opinions of others, as well as sharing my own. It's a huge blessing, when God is in it, and one I have been very glad to be a part of. :)
if i forget please email me, but ill try to remember to get you the link to the egw comments. i havent received any for a while, so maybe the person hasnt been able to do them for awhile. ill try to remember to email him and see whats going on.
my jeremiad,is about some author that still missing the SOP inside the lessons, and from few time ago, comes some help like White s comments guide book, cos some author not put emphasis in SOP!its regrettable!
if you can see one lesson from non adventist church ,you realise how poor them are cos them have not this help by clarify or add light like us!we have, why not use it!?

SSL reminds us of Jesus, our salvation. We are molded everyday as we study each lesson that helps us experience life with our Savior.

I also love the sharing. Sometimes there are things that i can't understand in the lesson and when i listen to the views of my fellow believers, i am enlightened.

SSL helps a lot in my daily walk with Him. Thanks.
thanks Lorie!
to share and keep one uniform (unique)line of understanding that avoid future conflicts and misunderstandings!this is my opinion!

As mentioned previously by another poster .... I also like to hear the variety of comments from others perspectives in class. The lesson is not always the greatest ... depending upon the author. But the topics can always be of interest. And one doesn't have to stick with just what the lesson outlines.

Each week's lesson ALWAYS has Ellen White.Lately ... the Friday study has almost exclusively been Ellen White. I would prefer if they stuck more to scripture. But either way. It is the input from others experiences in class that I particularly like.
well done N Him !many thanks!some author sometimes bring some issue level suitable to teen ages!or weary one! exhaustive!

Well that's true tonny. We are all at different levels of maturity and the authors have to try to reach ALL of us.
I like the Sabbath school lessons in the quarterly. The themes in them are informative and relevant to the times and seem to be well written. There have been some quarterlies written that have had about twenty different scriptures to look up each page and I haven't always had time to look up every one.
