"If you are prison (may be during persecution time) and the only food is uncleaned food of no option being served, will you eat unclean food or risk dying starvation or malnourished.... What's your opinion?". (This is your question)

will you eat unclean food or risk dying starvation or malnourished....

Eliza, this is my opinion:
Unclean food is unclean. Unclean here means it is not clean. Why? Because it has viruses in it in which our body will incline to get disease easily. It makes sense right? So, if I am in a prison (may be during the persecution time), and the only food offered to me is unclean food and there is no other option being served, I will not eat such food. Because it is clearly written in the Bible that we must not eat those unclean food. Moreover, if I eat them, I will also die. It is better for me to die because I lift up the truth than to die just because I eat such unclean food to extent my life.

That's my opinion Eliza.
Ellen White ate unclean meats for many years of her life. It didn't seem to effect her brain power too much. And this was even during the times that she was having visions from God.
Ellen White did not eat unclean meat once she received the light on it.

The preceeding post is not presenting the truth accurately.

Mark
She is not the model of our lives.... Why dont you are argue that she wore jewelry.... I think it is better to obey God and remain true to principle.
Oh, did she wear jewelry/
for the right reasons i would :)
I think it is a personal choice....

As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. Romans 14:14 NIV

AND...

But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.1 Corinthians 8:8 NIV
I think the health rules are guidelines for LIFE. If your life would be in danger if you didn't eat the unclean meat .... EAT the unclean meat. God wants you to live. What we eat is not the a test to determine eternal life. The blood of Christ is what saves us ... not what we eat or drink.
This counsel goes contrary to scripture and to the fundamental teachings of the Adventist Faith.
Well ... thanks for your opinion. Ellen White obviously disagreed with you. She went contrary to health principles on a number of occasions because there was nothing else. Interesting huh?

IN 1873 She ate duck. See Manuscript 12, 1873
This was ten years after her health vision.
Are you trying to say that Ellen White "KNOWINGLY" ate unclean food and therefore it is okay for the rest of us to do this?

This viewpoint undermines the whole health message and goes contrary to our beliefs.

Again this viewpoint presents Ellen White is in a way that shows her to be a hypocrite, therefore justifying hypocrisy for others.

All I can see in this is an attack on Ellen White and the Spirit of Prophecy.

An attack that is subtle, but nonetheless an attack.

Mark
No attack. But would you rather be blind? She knowingly ate duck. That is a fact. Since you can't deny that ... you try to attack the one who brings the message? Your problem is that you have a false view of prophets. They are human and they error. You can choose to call them a hypocrite and that is fine. But all of us are hypocrites. So, don't attack Ellen White when she fails.
