There is a pandemic of thyroid problems around the USA.
Is it because of the food we eat?
Is it in the water we drink?
My friend was just told that she needed to have her overactive thyroid "killed" with radiation. She is at the doctor's office now setting up her surgery.
Does anyone know a natural remedy that I could share with her?

My mother has it and does take medication for the rest of her life or she wouldn't live, but she warned me about it and that if caught soon before the disease gets a strong hold it can be corrected. She lives in Alaska but her doctor is in Seattle, Washington (very near the International Airport)

Permalink Reply by Annelisa Messer on January 22, 2012 at 8:17am I have an underactive thyroid. I was in levothyroxin. My doctor stopped my medication because it's making my menopausal symptoms worst.
With thyroid problem it's hard for me to lose weight. And it's also making the candidiasis worst too.
I might try Thyroplex. Thanks

Is there anyone online here that has had their thyroid radiated in order to "kill it"?
What are you symptoms?
Do you regret it?
My problem is that if my friend has this proceedure done, to destroy her thyroid, she will forever have to be on medicine as long as she lives.
At what point do we trust God for healing, as "YHWH-Rapha" and not undergo surgery?
How can God get the glory or heal us if we are so quick to run to the physicians....
I am not condemning anyone for going to the doctor or taking medicine, I have done so myself.
I am just sharing my thoughtw with you all, and wrestling with this question, for her, another friend with recurrent breast cancer, as well as for myself....

Shouldn't she have [or be given] as many ideas, thoughts and options as possible [in health, physical remedies, spiritual] so she can make a better informed decision.
Permalink Reply by juv on January 17, 2012 at 6:47am I witnessed in Philippines a family who has this kind of problem. The mother is hypo and the daughter is over active. What they did was they catch some honey bee and put it inside the screen then let the honey bee needle the affected area. And by surprise it's really gone.
