I will try to be short, the law that was nailed to the cross which was the first covenant or ordinances  written by Moses. It was kept in the worldly sanctuary outside the ark before Christ came (Hebrews chapter 9) Most of the law and covenant can be found in Leviticus. When our Savior died it was done away with or nailed to the cross (Colossians 2:14).
The other law that was written on stones and in our hearts was never done away with or nailed to the cross. It's called the 10 Commandments.
I hope this helps.

doesn't help. what was contained in this law?

Actions and behaviors that had meaning within [that] culture?

the ceremonial law was nailed to the cross

The ceremonial law (all the various rituals, sacrifices and feast days etc) was done away with. The purpose of the various ceremonies was symbolic as they showed the people what Christ's sacrifice on the cross would do for them and also how to interact with God.

that's better because then contents are being defined - all those that said, yeah, Christ is coming to deal with your sin. once sin was dealt with, they can't be binding any longer because there is no future Christ to point towards to
