How to Detoxify Your Body.
Now then make sure you are alone! Close the bathroom door behind you. Get close to the bathroom mirror and stick your tongue out as far as you can. Have a really good look at your tongue. If it’s a beautiful pink colour all over you are doing fine. If it’s colour with a dirty slime (from silvery white through to a gunge green or worse sludge black) it’s time to consider a body weight detox.
The tongue can be taken as a mirror for the amount of toxins building up in the internal organs. When the tongue’s natural pink colour disappears under an unpleasant coating it is signalling a state of internal disorder. Your liver, kidneys and other organs will be under pressure and in urgent need of shedding their toxic build up ( in most cases, over many years ). You may already be displaying disease symptoms such as arthritis, head cold, heart disease, hormone problems etc. Remember pain is the end result of the problem so don’t think you are free, if you are anything like me I’m getting older by the day! Are you?

There are two basic ways of balancing weight and detoxifying the body: -
One - to fast on vegetable juices alone (4 pts), and.
Two - you can restrict your food intake to those foods that cleanse the body, (see basic food combining chart).
Although the focus of this paper is on a detox of your body, let me sight one case of a patient who was suffering with severe arthritic pain together with several other disease symptoms. After a consultation with her she fasted for one week taking only filtered water, vegetable juice and chamomile tea. Guess what within seven days she experienced a dramatic reduction in her arthritic pains and a huge improvement in the mobility of her fingers. She also lost over half a stone in weight, her bowels worked properly (2 or 3 a day), after going one week without all the toxic foods people eat you can now find it much easier to keep to a more healthier diet as shown on the Food Combining Chart mentioned above.
However most people prefer to carry on eating during their detox. So how do you do it and what can you expect to happen?

One proven method is to follow what we call the monotrophic diet, which is eating just one food at a time for seven days. Use the example below as it is a very effective route to a healthy detox.

Program one - * For Breakfast: drink one pint of vegetable juice, 50% should be from carrots, make the rest up from beetroot, greens, tomatoes, celery, find what flavours you like, mix barley green combinations and Aloe Vera with it. (Diabetics should have porridge oats as it has a slow time release on the pancreas).
* For Lunch: Eat as many grapes as you can until your hunger is satisfied.
* Mid afternoon: around 3:30 to 4pm drink a pint of carrot juice ( organic if you buy it ) but make sure there is no salt added to it if you are buying from a health shop.
* For Tea: 6 to 7pm choose one of the following fruits - bananas, apples, grapes
( white ) mangos strawberries or pears. Eat as much as you want of the one selected fruit till your hunger is satisfied. Try dried fruits as well.
Normally you should drink 4 pints of pure water per day however while you are doing the detox you can drink 2 to 3 pints of water between meals, not with meals. Fresh fruit is mostly water ( around 70% ) so you should find that you are running to the little room more often, think of it this way you are getting ride of the toxins quicker. By the way filtered water is a much better for you than tap water, bottled water is ok so long as it fairly fresh. Using the occasional cup of peppermint or chamomile tea can be beneficial.

Program two. Many people find this option the best, as we feel so good after a week to ten days then why not keep going!
To prevent boredom with your fruits and vegetables make sure you select a wide variety.

Half an hour to an hour before breakfast drink one pint of water, this helps get ride of toxins that build up over night in the stomach.

* Mid morning one pint of water, or half a pint of hot water.

* Lunch: eat raw vegetables (that is not cooked for more that five minutes) a good verity, be adventurous, include all sorts of vegetables try and eat as much as you can raw as raw can be, such as hispi cabbage
( shredded ), cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms, avocados, watercress can all be used, add around 3oz (90g) of raw nuts ( brazils, cashews and almonds, they must not be roasted or salted ), plus seeds such as pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds will give you your oils needed plus all the protean you need, ( why not put your nuts and seeds in a blender and add a little water to make a delicious seed and nut butter to add to the salad, with your meal of vegetables add some fresh olives, celery and up to half a head of lettuce. Top the lot with some Virgin Olive Oil as a dressing. Take time to get your food right and it will get you right!

* Mid afternoon: one pint of carrot juice with one clove of garlic if you wish.

* For tea: have a good selection of fruits, again be adventurous, you may wish to make them into a fruit salad, mangos, always goes down well. Don’t forget you can have some dried fruits, with fresh fruits. I like grapes and strawberries.

To detoxify the body is always beneficial but not always easy. It will take will power and self discipline particularly if you are an addict to sugar, caffeine ( tea and Coffee ), chocolate, cooking oils and margarine’s. All addictions can be overcome and once you are free from them you will have no regrets! I find it can take between 2 to 4 weeks to get the addiction off your back. There is no real time duration to this detox program, in fact the healthier you become the more you wish to stay that way.
When ever you detoxify your body, the body will give withdraw symptoms, the most common are light headed, not often but may be nausea. Your energy levels can fluctuate, one day you are on top of the world the next you feel all washed out. You may need more rest and sleep, take it if you do. Rest and sleep are vital components of recuperation and to build up your energy.

Exercise. Do a minimum of 20 to 30 minutes exercise per day, more if you can. Walking, cycling, swimming etc.

Finally please do not be put off if you don’t keep strictly to your program. BEST RESULTS OCCUR FROM ONE MONTH TO SIX MONTHS, Even after this time most people find they feel better and keep a balance weight controlled program by remaining on a 90% diet and detox program. All sorts of trials and challenges come our way in life. What is impossible at one point in your life can be a minor trial at another. Pray about it, and then just go for it. As a qualified nurse from 1971 and working as an Alternative Health Practitioner since 1983 I still find it interesting to see how the methods differ between the drug therapies and the natural therapies, as most people tend to use the drug method, this paper is to help you understand what is becoming a revitalized way of treatment, (even though natural methods have been recorded as far back as man started writing).

Lets look at Arthritis and Rheumatism.

“The real cause of arthritis is toxemia, brought about by faulty diet and weaken habits of living, it is the correction of these that makes the relief of the condition possible in almost every case. With toxemia removed no case is too far-gone for improvement to be made and maintained. The results obtained by the fast or corrective elimination diet, are often spectacular. Pain usually diminishes rapidly and mobility of affected joints increases as toxemia is overcome. Joints, muscles and nerves lose their irritation and tension, and the way is paved for the restorative measures of correct diet and other elements of health”

Dr. J. Tilden who was a pioneer of the system of medicine called Natural Hygiene gave this explanation of the cause and cure of all kinds of arthritis and rheumatism, He saw thousands cured of arthritis by this method.

However there are several reasons for not following an hygienist regime!

1. It involves dietary change.
2. Many people want to be “saved in their sins” rather than “saved from their sins”. In other words people are willing to do literally anything to relieve pain except help themselves.
3. Very few drug doctors know anything about natural hygiene; indeed it is deliberately ignored in some quarters may be as it s practice would destroy the drug companies.
4. Lastly you have probably been told that arthritis is ‘incurable’. And yet we have been curing other animals of over 150 diseases for in some cases thousands of years. So such a claim is demonstrably untrue. What is true is that no drug has ever, or will ever ‘cure’ arthritis, because drugs only mask the symptoms of disease and never address the cause.

Permanent effective treatment of arthritis and rheumatism ( of which their are over a hundred different named forms of arthritis), is possible only if you are prepared to accept the responsibility of achieving it. So isn’t it worth a try?

The causes explained.

Dr. Tilden said, “ the healing art is grounded on the truth that toxemia is the basic source of all diseases ... Toxemia is the universal cause of disease. Toxemia means poisoned by toxin taken into the body, or by one’s own waste products - retained metabolic waste - brought about by inefficient elimination; and faulty elimination is caused by enervation - a weakened state of the body - lost resistance”.



Enervation causes toxemia.

Every process of life depends upon the expenditure of nerve energy. Thinking, breathing, talking, running. In carrying out these actions and processes we use stores of nerve energy. The digestive process depends upon nerve energy. The only way we create nerve energy is through rest and regular sleep patterns.
When we use nerve energy in excess we become enervated. Anger, jealousy, greed, envy, over work, over ambition, and many other processes cause enervation - excessive use of nerve energy.
The process of digestion is critically affected by enervation. Food no matter how good it is, is incompletely digested when we are enervated. All foods produce residues and if they are not eliminated they are stored as toxins in the body, (this is one reason why pure Aloe Vera which is not watered down is so good for the body).
Stored toxins are highly acidic. Toxins stored around the joints tend to cause arthritis. Toxins stored in the digestive tract tend to cause IBS, Crohn’s disease, food allergies and so many more; toxins in the heart, heart disease; in the kidneys, Bright’s disease; in the brain, Alzheimer’s decease and so on. There is only one cause of disease - toxemia - but many thousands of manifestations. Every one of us suffer from enervation and toxemia to a greater or lesser extent, it is an integral part of life.



Don’t treat the symptoms!

The symptoms of arthritis are pain and inflammation. Both symptoms are vital, defensive reactions. Pain is like a smoke alarm going off in your home in reaction to a fire in the kitchen. If the fire brigade turned up, ignored the fire, disconnected the smoke alarm, and told you to go back to bed you would think them insane. And yet that is exactly what your drug doctor dose when they prescribe painkillers for arthritis. No wonder he says the disease is incurable!
The problem with symptomatic relief of any disease is that it allows the underlying condition to continue and sometimes to worsen. That’s frequently true with arthritis.

Cure arthritis by reducing enervation, improving elimination and changing diet.

The ‘Western diet’, which is the excessive supply of proteins, fats, starches and sugar will dramatically increase toxemia. To help reduce toxemia consider the following, don’t eat when under stress, when angry or tired. The most nourishing and wholesome of foods will cause toxemia if eaten when enervated in these ( and other) ways. We can choose to be poised or poisoned.
You can only beat arthritis if you accept that modern, convenience foods are inherently detrimental to human health. This doesn’t mean that you will have to become a vegetarian (unfortunately) or give up all your favorite foods. What it dose mean is changing the balance of what you eat and for some of you good looking men and women changing the amount you eat. Fasting is also beneficial in all cases.

Food combining helps cure arthritis.

Perhaps the easiest and most effective way of curing arthritis through diet is based upon a system of “Food Combining”. The most important part of a food combining diet is the consumption of large amounts of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables every day but never at the same time or in the same meal.

The Three Principles.

1. Eat fruits on their own. Many people say they can’t eat fruit because it upsets their stomach. But they never give fruit a fair chance! Eaten with other foods fruits tend to ferment and therefore give off large amounts of gas. On their own that’s rarely a problem.
(By the way virtually all fruit juices in the carton have been pasteurized and made acidic. It’s better to drink filtered water than these chemically damaged products).
2. Eat predominantly foods of an alkaline nature. We operate most efficiently if around 80% of our food intake is alkaline rather than acid in nature (most processed foods are of an acid base). To achieve this we need to have a high proportion of fresh, raw fruits and vegetables in our diet - ideally around 66% and only small amount of acid forming foods. 3. Ensure efficient elimination. Our bowels are somewhat like the sewers of our homes and streets. Keep them clean and free from blockages and we will live free from plagues and other life threatening diseases. But most people about 70% of the population accept constipation, diverticular disease and worse as part of a normal life. These conditions are a direct consequence of eating refined, convenience foods. But blocked bowels inevitably leads to chronic diseases (manifested as arthritis, obesity, allergies, hay fever, candidacies, coronary heart disease, colds and flu, onset diabetes, migraines, high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, PMT, ulcers, ME and multiple sclerosis etc.



BASIC FOOD COMBINING MADE EASY.

Part A. Concentrated PROTEINS
Soya beans & all Soya products, Nuts, Seeds, Avocado’s, Meat, Fish, Eggs, Poultry, Cheese & Cow’s milk.

DO NOT Eat Foods from Part A with Foods from Part B at the same time.

Part B Concentrated CARBOHYDRATES
Potatoes, Sweet potatoes and Yams. All grains and cereals including wheat, oats, rye, barley.
All flour and pastries, biscuits, cakes and sweet corn.

You can mix any of the following with part A or B
All vegetables (except those listed in part A or B). All salad vegetables.

Eat with any vegetables and with any in Part B.

Always drink 4 pints of pure water each day. ( Two and a half liters ). Eat organic whenever possible to reduce the levels of toxins in the body. Toxaemia is the principal cause of disease. Avoid processed sugar, coffee, and tea chocolate of all kinds. Digestion should start in the mouth, not the stomach, chewing helps to release nutrients and aids digestion and slows your food intake down. Do not drink with your meals.

Common Questions about Food Combing.

Q. Can we digest proteins and carbohydrates together in the stomach?
A. Yes. However keeping them apart has a number of benefits when people are overweight and / or suffering from chronic disease. The main benefits of what is called the Hay Diet are:
1. It helps us to be more disciplined in our eating.
2. It reduces the amount of acid forming food and increases the amount of alkaline forming foods. This then reflects our body chemistry better. ( This is the way we were made ).
3. It helps detoxify the body. Toxins in the body are the cause of all disease. When you remove the toxins the symptoms of disease disappear.
Q. How long do I need to follow this diet?
A. It depends upon how long you have suffered from the symptoms of your disease or how overweight you are. To see significant benefits can take from one month too six months.

Exercise - A Life Saver.

John came home feeling tense, anxious, and irritable. He was a manager for a large Company, and had spent all day trying unsuccessfully to mend sharp differences between two of his departmental heads. After fighting his way through the traffic for 45 minutes to get home, he felt he needed to clear his mind.

Slipping on his well worn trainers, John went out for a 30 minute jog. By the time he got back home he felt completely different. His mind felt relaxed, his mood was elevated, and all his built up tension was erased. After a shower John enjoyed the evening with his family.

Donna felt depressed. She had just received a C minus on her first biochemistry test as a first year student in medical university. She was extremely worried about her chances of staying on the course.

Pulling on her coat, she went out for a 40 minute brisk walk around the grounds of the university. By the time Donna returned to her room, her spirits were lifted, her depression was gone and she sat down at her desk with renewed determination to keep pressing on with her studies.

So, can exercise really do this much - for - mental anxiety, and depression?

In the next few minutes you will be surprised to find out how good exercise can be for us all.

2. Increased strength, endurance and vigor.

Doctor Lee S. Berk of Loma Linda University, found that when taking exercise, an endocrine hormone called beta - endorphin becomes elevated differently than in people who do not work their heart with exercise.

Beta - endorphin kills pain, makes you feel good, helps reduce your blood pressure, heart rate, and respiration.

Several researchers have discovered that during exercise we have an increase in alpha waves. These are the brain waves that are associated with a relaxed, meditation like state. This is believed to be why exercise reduces anxiety and depression.

We need to balance our emotions - with motion. How?

Scientists have found that if you are over forty years of age a good brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes a day can put 7 years on your life and improve your standard of life way beyond all your expectations. However if you are not use to exercise, start with just 10 minutes a day and build your exercise program up week by week.

The conclusion is obvious. You must enjoy your leisure time to get the most benefit. Your exercise must be vigorous, but not one which causes tension or excessive drive. Whether you chose to run, jog, walk, bike ride, swim, or just work in your garden, you will find enjoyable activity an excellent Life - saver.




11 Miracles in Your Water


The remedy for your medical problems may be as close as your tap! Pigs will fly before the medical establishment will disclose something simple and free in lieu of costly (and frequently dangerous) medications; but they do tell us to do this, they just don't know, or don't tell us the great benefit.
In forty years of practice I have seen many apparent miracles produced solely by plain water. You won't believe what 8-10 eight-ounce glasses (4 pts / 2 & half Lts) of water per day will do for many maladies. There is one major problem: People won't drink that much due to the inconvenience of frequent urination; a small price to pay for better health. If your urine is not a very pale yellow or even clear, you are not getting enough water (does not apply to those taking B- complex vitamins as these can turn the urine bright yellow). When I speak of water I do NOT refer to coffee, sodas or tea. Distilled or spring is best but tap water will work just fine for most people. Some places have water which has an odor and is not at all that tasty. Put a jug in the fridge for a few days and it will taste better. In addition, much of the chlorine will vanish. Prior to drinking, shake it vigorously for a while. This will oxygenate it.

Cure #1: Dump the Tums and cure heartburn.

Heartburn may be a signal of water shortage in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a major thirst signal of the human body.
The use of antacids or tablet medications in the treatment of this pain does not correct dehydration, and the body continues to suffer as a result of its water shortage.
Tragedy: Not recognizing heartburn as a sign of dehydration and treating it with antacids and pill medications will, in time, produce inflammation of the stomach and duodenum, hiatus hernia, ulceration, and eventually cancers in the gastrointestinal tract, including the liver and pancreas.

Cure #2: Water may prevent and cure arthritis.

Rheumatoid Joint Pain - Arthritis - may be a signal of water shortage in the painful joint. It can affect the young as well as the old. The use of pain-killers does not cure the problem, but exposes the person to further damage from pain medications. Intake of water will cure this problem.

Cure #3: Back pain.

Low Back Pain and Ankylosing Arthritis of the Spine may be signs of water shortage in the spinal column and discs - the spinal cushions that support the weight of the body. These conditions should be treated with increased water intake - not a commercial treatment, but a very effective one.
Tragedy: Not recognizing arthritis and low back pain as signs of dehydration in the joint cavities and treating them with pain- killers, manipulation, acupuncture, and eventually surgery will, in time, produce osteoarthritis when the cartilage cells in the joints have eventually all died. It will produce deformity of the spine. It will produce crippling deformities of the limbs. Pain medications have their own life-threatening complications.

Cure #4: Angina.

Heart Pain - Angina - can be a sign of water shortage in the heart/lung axis.
It should be treated with increased water intake until the patient is free of pain and independent of medications. Medical supervision is prudent. However, increased water intake may be your cure for angina.

Cure #5: Migraines.

Migraine Headache may be a sign that water is needed by the brain and the eyes. Migraine may be prevented by keeping dehydration from establishing in the body and may be totally cleared up by treating for the condition of dehydration. This particular type of dehydration might eventually cause inflammation of the back of the eye and possibly loss of eyesight.

Cure #6: Colitis.

Colitis Pain is a signal of water shortage in the large gut. It is associated with constipation because the large intestine constricts to squeeze too much water from the excrements – thus the lack of water lubrication.
Tragedy: Not recognizing colitis pain as a sign of dehydration will cause persistent constipation, which can result in fecal impacting, verticality’s, hemorrhoids, polyps, and appreciably increase the possibility of developing cancers of the colon and rectum.

Cure #7: Asthma.

Asthma, which also affects 12,000,000 children and kills several thousands of them every year, is a complication of dehydration in the body. It is caused by the drought management programs of the body. Free passage of air is obstructed so that water does not leave the body in the form of vapor – the winter steam. Increased water intake will prevent asthma attacks.
Tragedy: Not recognizing asthma as the indicator of dehydration in growing children not only will sentence many thousands of children to die every year, but will permit irreversible genetic damage to establish in the remaining asthmatic children.

Cure #8: High blood pressure.

Hypertension is a state of adaptation of the body to a generalized drought when there is not enough water to fill all the blood vessels which diffuse water into vital cells. As part of the mechanism of reverse osmosis, when water from the serum is filtered and injected into important cells through minute holes in their membranes, extra pressure is needed for the "injection process." Just as we inject I.V. "water" in hospitals, so the body injects water into tens of trillions of cells all at the same time. Water intake will bring blood pressure back to normal!
Tragedy: Not recognizing hypertension as one of the major indicators of dehydration in the human body, and treating it with diuretics that further dehydrate the body will, in time, cause blockage by cholesterol of the heart arteries and the arteries that go to the brain. It will cause heart attacks and
small or massive strokes that paralyze. It will eventually cause kidney diseases. It will cause brain damage and neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease.

Cure #9: Adult-onset diabetes.

Adult-Onset Diabetes is another adaptive state to severe dehydration of the human body. To have adequate water in circulation and for the brain's priority water needs, the release of insulin is inhibited to prevent insulin from pushing water into all body cells. In diabetes only some cells get
survival rations of water. Water will reverse adult-onset diabetes in its early stages.
Tragedy: Not recognizing adult-onset diabetes as a complication of dehydration may, in time, cause massive damage to the blood vessels all over the body. It may cause eventual loss of the toes, feet and legs from gangrene. It may cause eye damage, even blindness.

Cure #10: Blood cholesterol.

High Cholesterol levels are an indicator of early drought management by the body. Cholesterol is a clay-like material that is poured in the gaps of some cell membranes to safeguard them from losing their vital water content to the osmotically more powerful blood circulating in their vicinity.
Cholesterol, apart from being used to manufacture nerve cell membranes and hormones, is also used as a "shield" against water taxation of other vital cells that would normally exchange water through their cell membranes.

Cure #11: Depression, Loss of libido, Chronic fatigue syndrome, Lupus, Multiple sclerosis, Muscular dystrophy.
These conditions may be caused by prolonged chronic dehydration. If so, they will clear up once the body becomes well and regularly hydrated. In these conditions, exercising one's muscles should be part of the treatment program.

It was a long post, but I read it. I'll have to go over some of the info several times to get the processes down. I really need thins as my health problems are chronic. And my husband is diabetic II, among other things.

An the water topic, I love water because drink so much water my skin is beautiful.When i have an headache i drink a lot of water then i go an lie down and sleep it off, funnily i drink right through the night.......I try to eat healthy but it is hard to do,i eat mostly vegetables and fish i don't really like fish but because vegetable and nut are so expensive where i live.So when vegetables are cheap i make use of them. I have down a detox early this year and change my eating habits and it as been good for me.I don't drink sodas are take anything with coffee.Am going to study to be a reflexologys so thank for all the info that you have posted.It was long but i en joyed reading it, so thanks a million times again.

Thanks for the wealth of information Cherry.  I am diabetic, when you state diabetics should include the oat with the breakfast juice, did you mean eat a bowl of oat porrige and drink the juice as well?

but since then I have been doing the CHIP programme by Hans A Diehl.......it is an Amazing Programme!!!!!! basically bringing me back to basics which in the Garden of Eden!!!!!!!

Hans talks about Diabetes it is a Must listen too! so Google him

a bowl of Oats or Muesli has it is slow release of energy and fresh oranges not the Juice!!!
