I am new to this site, just put up my profile today, and was browsing through and spotted this group and the others available. My heart sunk as I noticed that THIS group, the one that is all about doing good for other people, has so few members and little acitivity. It should be the busiest group here!!!!
Come on Brothers and Sisters... Let's get busy!
Surely there is someone out there that you can see is in need.

I work for the local ambulance service. On a daily basis, it is easy for me to see many areas where someone sure could use a good person in their lives. It doesnt take much... what about just going out and sort of "adopting" a senior citizen. Put out effort to go visit them once a week. Keep them in new books, and maybe offer to do a bible study or just a reading with them. Seniors are lonely and would LOVE attention! They often feel that they are not needed while your there... be sure to put them to work as a prayer partner! And keep them busy with prayer requests!

There are many needs in my community. One of the needs that we are confronted with is how to reach out to our young men in our community. I am a board member of a foundation that caters to the needs of troubled youth (boys) between age 10 to 18. One of our biggest problem is that 90% of these boys come from broken or one parent homes. In most cases these young men reside with their mother or grandmother. The father figure is absent. My question is how do we get our men to live up to their responsiblity. This problem is not only outside the church but also in our church. How do we as a men's ministry handel this need.

asking for an open discussion on how to about helping those in need in a genuine christian pricipled way bearing in mind Christ instruction that in the last day there will be an increase in evil and going by last week sabbath school lesson teachings.
