Health...at the cellular level

This is a group, based on what we know as members about the human body, that is obliged to show how uniquely designed we are as humans. You don't have to be a biologist, or scientist to discuss information here. Come join us as we explore the body.

I hope you continue to learn RUTHIE and that the learning process makes a decisive change as we learn more about the wonders of how Marvelous Gods creation and design is for each individual too. Sabbath Peace!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this group. I just started studying medical technology at university and I'm eager to share as well as learn about the complexity of the body God has given us!
History Buff Comment by History Buff on June 4, 2010 at 10:25pm
I never really knew the depth of complexity of the human body on the cellular level until I received devastating injury on the cellular level. My cells no longer performed the complex functions very well, those functions we don't think about. When the mitochondria stop performing the way they ought, and when you do not have the immune defenses for the toxins that are everywhere, you rather abruptly find out just how much your cells accomplish and how toxic the world is. My cellular injury was caused by pesticide exposure. It has thoroughly ruined me. Yet God has been giving me comfort measures and helping me through a nightmare. He has taught me how to follow him as my cells are as though blind to invaders. He has delighted in taking opportunity to use my injury to provide in miraclulous ways to demonstrate himself on an experiential level. He has taught me how to be utterly and wholly dependent upon him. He is healing me through cellular level detox treatment but it is very rough. I have to depend upon him with all my might when my brain feels like it is completely out of control for the various toxins coming back out. I have learned at least much of the time to cry out to God when screaming in pain. Crying out to God in a screaming prayer when that's the best I can give...that's something that gives me a real love for God that he would hear my screaming prayer and help me through each crisis. Praise be to God that he can help us love him more and more.

I think that I should never stop marveling at the complexity and order of God's creation. And if I should have to be injured, then I should thank God for the things he teaches me through the injury.

Cell theory states that the cell is the fundamental unit of life, and that all living things are composed of one or more cells or the secreted products of those cells (e.g. shells). All cells arise from other cells through cell division. In multicellular organisms, every cell in the organism's body derives ultimately from a single cell in a fertilized egg. The cell is also considered to be the basic unit in many pathological processes. Additionally, the phenomenon of energy flow occurs in cells in processes that are part of the function known as metabolism. Finally, cells contain hereditary information (DNA) which is passed from cell to cell during cell division.

Did you all know that there are certain nutrients that can help cancer cells to commit suicide? These nutrients literally cause the cancer cells to self destruct. Is it any wonder why Hippocrates said "let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food"?

I have posted a video featuring one such nutritional juice called Tre that possesses quite a few powerful anti-oxidants with the properties, and the ability to cause cancer cells to self destruct.

Once again thanks guys for your comments. I have posted some videos that I believe you will find interesting. Please check my members page. I am a member of an international health company called GNLD that caters to health at the cellular level.

I personally have seen people who have been diagnosed with terminal diseases who have been restored to normal health because of the approach taken to heal the cells of our bodies.

We simply take three basic approaches to cellular health, and these include:

1. Feeding the cells by improving their membrane structure...

2. Balancing their biochemistry with the use of essential fatty acids..

3. Protecting the cell membrane and cytoplasmic contents with powerful anti-oxidant phyto-nutrients...

The video called Pro Vitality provides all that information in a nutshell.

Blessings...

lthis topic is not generating much discussion or too many commentaries,,, too bad, it is such a wonderful subject. There is so much to be said about it.

Take a cell that is resting, for instance, a white corpuscle in the blood. It is round like a drop of jelly. In a moment it changes its form, and starts off to travel. It has no feet to travel with, but it makes a foot, and with the foot it pushes itself along until it has travelled quite a distance. Now this cell gets hungry and wants something to eat. It has no mouth so it makes a mouth on the spot; it makes a little indentation in the side of its body, putting out one lip, and then another, and thus forms a mouth, and then takes in a bit of chlorophyll or protoplasm. But it has no stomach; how is it going to digest it? It makes a stomach. All that is necessary is to get that speck of food inside, and it will digest it, because it is all stomach; it is all mouth; it is all feet; it is all brain; it is all nerves; it is all everything. It is one of those little ultimate specks of life complete in itself. It is nothing but a speck of transparent jelly, yet it has in it everything that is in the most complex animal form!

In the body we find an association of individual cells gathered together to do business in harmony. Just as in a community of several men there are some who are computer technicians, some carpenters, some electricians, some bakers and cooks, some common labourers, a few doctors, a few preachers, and other people, and each one has his office to perform.

Each cell is independent of all the rest, just as each man in a community is independent. You can not see the individual cells with the naked eye, but through the microscope you can see, in a drop of blood about five millions of these cells. A process is continually going on in these cells. The protoplasm in these cells grows and changes; it is found in very curious forms and shapes. It divides up into little pieces of just the same length and shapes; then these little pieces all split from end to end. After they split, they separate; half of them turn one way and half the other way, and go to the other end of the cell. Then the whole mass begins to break, and shortly afterward it splits in two, and then we have two cells instead of one.

That is the way the cells multiply, and that is the way the human body grows. You can see the whole thing going on through the microscope; you can see them moving along in just the same order as a company of well-trained soldiers, keeping perfect time, marching and countermarching. When we see all these little cells marching along in such perfect order, we feel that we can almost hear the divine voice speaking to these particles, issuing orders to them. We can see there is a divine Intelligence there, who is certainly directing every movement! This thing can not happen by itself!

“The physical organism is under the supervision of God; but it is not like a clock, which is set in operation, and must go of itself. The heart beats, pulse succeeds pulse, breath follows breath, but the entire being is under the supervision of God.” E.G. White, Selected Messages, Vol.1, p.294.

“As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes all things.” Ecclesiastes 11:5.

A bone in the human body is not a very interesting thing; but saw off a very thin slice of it, put it on the grindstone, and grind it down until you can see light through it, and then rub it down a little thinner still, then attach it to a piece of sealing wax, and put it under the microscope, and you will see some very interesting things. Here are some little dark places. They are hollow spaces. Inside of one of those spaces, when the bone is alive, is a little living creature similar to a jelly drop. Every one of these specks of life is at work; their work is to build bone. When a bone is broken, these bone cells, as they are called, go to work to make new bone to take the place of the old bone. Of themselves they have no more power to work than a grain of sand or a piece of sawdust; but there is a power in them that is working through them. Each one of these little cells is an evidence of the care of “the unseen, mighty Intelligence that is working in and through all.” E.G. White, Education, p.14.

The bones have in the centre of them a substance called marrow. The ordinary bone marrow is white; another kind is red. In the red marrow of the bones the blood is manufactured. We have about five million cells in every minute drop of blood, and we have from ten to fourteen pounds of blood in our veins. The blood cells live about six weeks, and then die, and new ones must be created. This creating process is carried on largely in the bones. So the bones are not simply sticks to support the body but they perform one of the most important functions of the entire body, the making of blood!
