This message is for all of us to remember:

A succesful marriage does not come spontaneously or by chance. Instead, a happy marriage, the successful marriage, involves two people working out small difficulties as well as big ones. "And they shall be one flesh"

Let's study our mates, what they like or dislike, strengths and weeknesses, moods, manerisums, and listen to them, we will learn alot believe me. Don't forget to show appreciation and love,(let it be verbal). We tend to think keeping a house clean, cooking, or even bringing home a paycheck says, "I appreciate you" but nothing beats hearing it. Give it a try and see what happens.

I also agree with Sis C, i think the unwilingness to see the other person's point of view does prohibits transfer of communication, simple communication. I am guilty of that myself, something i need to totally give to the Lord. Or there are times too certain things or issues, as a woman u feel that it's your views that counts, might be because that situation affects you more, or u think that u can better handle it. I do believe if a husband and wife can reason out peacefully that can be a beautiful thing.

First let me say thanks for joining the group . I do agree with what u say, i often say let go and let God,but as humans I think we take matters into our hand and it seems that God isn't helping but we have to believe that He is (we need some faith like Job). I just hope this site can really be of help to married couples, giving each other some good advice and u have done a good job. Thanks keep up the good work, and may God continue to bless ur marriage

i think it can be a bit difficult to understand each other at times, cuz first of all, we have to all realize that each of us are different and unique in our own ways and we all have our own views on things and most of the times we always feel that whatever we said is right or is the best decision. At times too, we just want the other person to agree or settle on the decision we make, and we take offense to the person agreeing otherwise.
