What does the Bible say about satire and/or sarcasm?

Sarcasm is the use of irony (saying one thing while meaning another) or other rhetorical devices in a biting, hurtful way. There is a difference between sarcasm and satire, although they are related. Satire is the use of irony or ridicule to expose foolishness, but without the “bite” of sarcasm. Satire is gentler; sarcasm is more derisive and sneering.

The question is, is satire or sarcasm ever appropriate? This would be easy enough to resolve if not for the fact that God…

Suicide: A Final Act

Many fans were devastated when they heard the news that celebrated comedian Robin Williams ended his own life on August 11. The American actor rose to fame in the 70s playing an alien in the TV series Mork & Mindy. He also performed in dozens of popular films and won many acting awards, amassing a personal fortune along the way.

Williams was open about his struggles with alcohol, drugs, and depression. Early on in his burgeoning career, he became addicted to cocaine but gave it up…

Should a Christian take anti-depressants or other mental health medicines?

Panic attacks, anxiety disorders, phobias, and depression affect millions of people. Although medical experts believe that many times the aforementioned ailments originate within a person’s psyche, there are times when a chemical imbalance is the cause—or times when a problem that began in the psyche has contributed to a chemical imbalance that now perpetuates the problem. If this is the case, medication is often prescribed to help counter the imbalance, which in turn treats the symptoms of…

"Should Christians go to doctors?"

There are some Christians who believe that seeking medical attention is demonstrating a lack of faith in God. In the Word-Faith movement, consulting a doctor is often considered a lack of faith that will actually prevent God from healing you. In groups such as Christian Science, seeking the help of physicians is sometimes viewed as a barrier to using the spiritual energy God has given us to heal ourselves. The logic of these viewpoints is sorely lacking. If your car is damaged, do you take…

oh wow what a inovating and immagative looking  profile page. It so awesome n beautiful  ha!ha! You know what the  Swan reminds me of The story of the Ugly Duckling. The poor duckling  growing up thought it wa ssoo ugly  not knowing it was not a duck at all n as time  grew on >( as it does for us all)  the change took place an u could see a beautiful Swan so graceful n majestic ..

Ido love animal stories n  I love to se animal adventures   in Africa  like them meer cats .. I learned the other day about How  Wolves got a bad rap   they feared n hated all because of stories people see thta be depicting them as vicous killers.. I never knew before it was actually  different in actuality then what u seen in the movies.. .

I guess their alot of things  maybe we fear  cause we do not know how to interact as we should  we lost in a technological world that spinning so fast  and friendships are superficial  for we got no time anymore to know someone other than hello good bye ? ..

It is  awesome   the beautiful scenes i see on your page   Iant say I ever seen the like ever ..  Kinda reminds me of a nature reserve   ha
