Hi Gabriel, regarding your last commentary, if the problem is the ordination (laying on of hands) I want to say you than the ordination is the authorization of the Church for learn, preach, baptize, etc. in the name of the Church, not is important the sex, not is exclusive of the men. Ellen White, about the laying on of hands and the women, says: "Women should be set aside for church work—Women who are willing to consecrate some of their time to the service of the Lord should be appointed to visit the sick, look after the young, and minister to the necessities of the poor. They should be set apart to this work by prayer and laying on of hands. In some cases they will need to counsel with the church officers or the minister; but if they are devoted women, maintaining a vital connection with God, they will be a power for good in the church. This is another means of strengthening and building up the church. We need to branch out more in our methods of labor. Not a hand should be bound, not a soul discouraged, not a voice should be hushed; let every individual labor, privately or publicly, to help forward this grand work. Place the burdens upon men and women of the church, that they may grow by reason of the exercise, and thus become effective agents in the hand of the Lord for the enlightenment of those who sit in darkness".—The Review and Herald, July 9, 1895

Is false than the Church it will accept the gay marriage, that is as to say than whose support the OW also support the gay marriage, is false.

I am a person who believe in the marriage ordered for God and I respect it, and never I'll support the gay marriage.
I support the OW because I believe in the Mission than involve to all believers, I believe in the 28 beliefs and there are two of them than we have to understand too; and those are: The unity in the body of Christ and Spiritual Gifts and ministries. Beliefs based on the Bible, only Scripture, not is culture, not is a trend, a person, is only Scripture.

Do you have read it?
Thanks Gabriel for your patience and friendly talk.

Blessings friend :)

Hi, I apologize to you for my delay in to reply.

I'm not talking of to have a lack of respect for the husband, I'm talking of the gifts of God, Ephesians 4:8, 11 says: "This is why it says: When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” (11)"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers".  The calling to be pastor is a gift of God and the Church it recognise through of the ordination. The gifts of God are not exclusive for the men.

The verse  that you share with me, 1 Corinthians 11:3 says: “But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.”

Is a text very controversial among the scholars, some say the greek word  kefalē = head means “source of life” and others say than kefalē means Authority”. I’m not going to explain it now, does not help me my short English. But, taking as a reference the meaning of “Authority” no necessarily mean that one is inferior and the other superior, because Christ is not inferior to the Father, in the same way men and women they are equal in being and value. (New Testament Commentary: 1 Corinthians, Simon J. K).

Not insist on linking the homosexuality with the ordination of women, are two separate and distinct things. The Adventist Church already has had women pastors ordered in other parts of the world and his opinion on homosexuality has not changed. It is not a theme of "status" as some preach,  is a theme of justice. As you know for to interpret one text have to comprehend the historical context , cultural, literary, for this reason the culture is not excluded in the interpretation. some persons have afraid of the YES, so thats why describe as satanic to whom support the ordination of women, that is not true. They lie. Take care them. Believe in the plan of God for your Church, The Church  is not perfect, but God is one who Guides.

I have also read quotes from Ellen White where she had a high value on the work of women in the ministry. Thanks Gabriel for the conversation. The best we can do is to study the Bible with prayer and open mind. Thank you for your tolerance until now, not always seen in the forums.

Blessings.

I have listened about it than you say, called  "afraid’s evangelism".

I agree with the third option in the ordination of women ("Yes") but I'll accept the resolution of the GC Session, because I believe God is in control. I don't believe in speculations or unfounded rumors about of the homosexuality and the Adventist Church. I think It’s absurd try to link two different issues. The SDAC has  a position about the homosexuality.

I know God is no respect of persons and the Holy Spirit gives gifts to who He wants, it says the Bible (1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 3:28). Men and women are important for Christ, They´re necessary in the ministry and this might be one good oportunity for them, the chosen women.

Greetings
