It is easy to speak, easy to listen carry out instructions, yet the hardest thing to do is surrender! Unless we come to the same place as Jesus, " Not my will but yours be done " (continually) we can never surrender all. This is a day, by day, hour by hour and moment and moment. The Christian that will stand the test of time are the ones that God shall read in the heart the spirit of Christ that is manifested like this, " Self-less-ness, moment by moment, ever seeking conformity to the expresss will of God with the desire to learn more the unfolding of God's will in Christ, that we may be able to please our Lord Better " Hence the Prerequisit of Discipleship is found in Mt 9: 23 unless this is done first all over aspects of Christianity will be beyond our ablility to say, do or perform. So we cannot be without the words of Paul...

" Even Christ pleased not Himself..." (Romans 15: 3) with " If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, we do not belong to Him " (Romans 8: 9) It is highly possible to do the works of Christ in the eyes of The Lord and other human beings and yet be without The Spirit of Christ, yes in the words of the Prophet we read...

He did what the LORD considered right, but he did not do it wholeheartedly. (2 Chronicles 25:2 GW)

Let us never forget the words of Jesus, " Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see things from God's point of view " (Mt 5: 8) in this way our righteousness will far exceed that of those who are so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good. The words of Christ...

For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:20 EMTV)

Living in the spirit of the words of Christ, your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, yes we are to live like angels do before God, meaning that we are to live as if in the very presence of God! " Amen! (Mt 6: 10)

This is wonderful, I appreciate the variety of instruments and te use of the drums. Must have taken some practice to get all everything tight. I have do a guitar instrumental of this same hymn and before I deliver it I ask the question, "What is the hardest thing for a christian to do?" Surrender is not easy, I need to do it regulary!!! Thank you for taking time to share this.
