Are you saying the terms God the son and God the holy spirit are wrong? just because you think they are not in the bible?....Well we can use inf.erring to know that Jesus is God....So to say God the son after he being in the very nature God, how will i have been wrong.... Just say what you want us to know...I see you are fighting Jesus' God ship
No worries James I do not subscribe to anything you would ever say when you can say the Mark of the beast is a computer chip one wonders how deep your bible study goes.
1. The difference between the Hebrews and the pagan world was that they believed in the ONE TRUE GOD. There was no concept of 3 in 1 in Old Testament times. Deuteronomy 6:4 proclaims
One is Hebrew, echad, meaning ONE. This is a most important concept. Multiple gods are pantheism and rooted in paganism and developed progressively by the Catholic Church.
Jesus himself never claimed to be God. The Trinity was never a part of the First Century Church doctrine, belief or practice. Even The Catholic Encyclopedia states that the Trinity was never a doctrine of primitive Christianity.
2. Constantine corrupted the church by enforcing the new doctrine proclaimed in Council of 325 AD wich proclaimed that Jesus was the second God.
3. The holy spirit was declared to be God in the Council of 381 AD, thus the Trinity. There was a progression of corruption, just as there is historically in the SDA, which was correct in their early monotheism belief.
4. One of the best books proving monotheism (Unitarianism) and disproving the Trinity doctrine is "One God & One Lord, "5th Edition by John A. Lynn , John W. Schoenheit, et al.
The book covers every verse used to support the Trinity doctrine as well as proof from other scriptures and Hebrew and Greek texts etc.
I was taught the Trinity, but learned the truth after six solid months of study and research, thinking and praying way back in 1975. It was shocking but true. WE have been lied to by the establishment. I know it can be difficult to be rational and research and question what you have been taught all your life, but to find the truth one must question what they believe and when found to be wrong, change to the truth, whether we are talking about theology, history or science. Much of what the New World Order has given us is lies and much has been hidden from the population by the establishment. Every denomination has been infiltrated by the children of the Devil, period.
The majority of people attending SDA are fine people, but some of the doctrines and the quenching of the holy spirit are not Biblical nor true. Other beliefs such as the dead are really dead, and foot washing and building character are good and true. The truth can be offensive and difficult to swallow at times. I have changed my beliefs about many things over the decades. I challenge everyone to read the book above either paperback or Kindle edition $7.99, and see if what you have been taught is true or not?
The historical transition of the of the SDA from their earlier view to now is a deep study. In this writing http://www.sdanet.org/atissue/trinity/TrinityWhidden.htm
“… Arian views were quite pervasive in the writings of early Seventh-day Adventism. In fact, it was possibly almost as widespread as convictions regarding the imminence of Christ's return. It has been hard for many 20th Century Adventists to grasp this fact in the light of the complete and official triumph of Trinitarianism in the movement in this century. ….. "
I know Nader doesn't like the use of the term Arian, but I think it is used because the early Adventist, the pioneers had serious issues concerning the nature of Christ.
I think everyone should prove for themselves who and what is the Holy Spirit using the word of God. The pioneers, some seem to struggle with this in a way based on their views of Christ at that time. This is take from
THE DOCTRINEOFTHE TRINITY AMONG ADVENTISTS Gerhard Pfandl Biblical Research Institute Silver Spring, MD June 1999
Answer: It is true that at the beginning our pioneers expressed their understanding of the Godhead in anti-Trinitarian terms. Anti-Trinitarianism at that time was based on three leading ideas:
(1) There once was a time when Christ did not exist.
(2) Christ received divinity from the Father and was therefore inferior to him.
(3) The Holy Spirit is not the third person of the Godhead but only the power or influence of God and Christ.
All of these ideas were originally held by our pioneers. However, it is also a historical fact that the understanding of our pioneers changed over time. For example, (1) In 1846 James White referred to “the old unscriptural trinitarian creed, viz., that Jesus is the eternal God.”37
But in 1876 he wrote that “S. D. Adventists hold the divinity of Christ so nearly with the Trinitarians, that we apprehend no trial here.”38 And a year later he declared his belief in the equality of the Son with the Father and con-demned any view as erroneous that “makes Christ inferior to the Father.”39
Why is the unpardonable sin blasphemy against the Spirit? Because it is blasphemy against God the Eternal Father, the Father of light. There are no trio of the Godhead, the only powers there are, is the Father and Son.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Here we are shown the Godhead from the beginning; the Word (Son) and God (the Father). If there was another God person it would have been mention in this beginning, but it wasn’t because it’s not.
Satan has introduced this idea in order to destroy the true vision of the Godhead and how the Father and the Son inviting us the share in the Godhead.
… To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood (the Son), 6who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father— to Him be the glory and power forever and ever!
Our relationship and our future are with the Father and the Son.
The Holy Spirit is named for what it is; the Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God. The bible shares how this is so and in understanding this you can understand this personality.
Romans 8: 16-17
16The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17And if we are children, then we are heirs: heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ— if indeed we suffer with Him, so that we may also be glorified with Him.
Now this says “The Spirit Himself testifies…” (keep that in mind: I will explain later), but we are not heirs with the Spirit, we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ; the Father and the Son.
Gene said: "The Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit and not another God person; it just not biblical."
The Holy Spirit is a person according to these texts;
The Holy Spirit has personality. He strives (Gen. 6:3), teaches (Luke 12:12), convicts (John 16:8), directs church affairs (Acts 13:2), helps and intercedes (Rom. 8:26), inspires (2 Peter 1:21), and sanctifies (1 Peter 1:2). These activities cannot be performed by a mere power, influence, or attribute of God. Only a person can do them.
Scripture views the Holy Spirit as God. Peter told Ananias that, in lying to the Holy Spirit, He had lied not "'to men but to God'" (Acts 5:3, 4). Jesus defined the unpardonable sin as "'blasphemy against the Spirit, '" saying, "'Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come'" (Matt. 12:31, 32). This could be true only if the Holy Spirit is God.
Thank you for your video. There does appear to be conflicting views; even though the SDA church may not embracing the term Trinity, certainly the concept is embraced.
The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ.—Special Testimonies, Series B, 7:62, 63. (1905).
EW states “there are three living persons of the heavenly trio…” and that the Holy Spirit is one of them. Personally, I don’t or should I say, no longer embrace this view. I agree with you that such a view destroys the Father Son relationship, and I will go one step further and say it also destroys God purpose and relationship in us. Roman 8:17 says,
and if children, also heirs--heirs of God (The Father) and coheirs with Christ (The Son)--if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
The Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit and not another God person; it just not biblical.
God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and the Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writers of Scripture. He filled Christ's life with power. He draws and convicts human beings, and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. Sent by the Father and the Son to be always with His children, He extends spiritual gifts to the church, empowers it to bear witness to Christ, and in harmony with the Scriptures leads it into all truth.—Fundamental Beliefs, 5
