Gabriel the nativity of Jesus is Bibical. The Birth of Jesus was celebrated by the wise men and the shepherds and the angels even the beasts celebrated Jesus' birth. What is ironic though, is that the people who wanted Him dead are the ones who commercialize it today and celebrate i at the max. This is for their own pleasure and financial gain. Jesus was indeed born and His birth heralded to the world. The contention now is; Was He born December 25? Is the kind of celebration practiced now the right way? The answer to these questions is a big NO. We through our lifestyle should celebrate Jesus everyday and so there will be no need for a special on Dec 25. The season though is great for proclamation of the gospel a special way. No need to stop our buying and selling at that time because it is pagan. All we need to do is just be ourselves normal and usual and don't get caught up in the maddening crowd and the festivity. I get nice things to buy at reasonable prices during that time, especially on Christmas eve when commercers/ seller want to sell off and go home to have their big feast at home. Go to grand market and distribute the tracts and priorities.(I will post this on all the other who have concerns,)
God bless

Hi REDVA
I WOULD WANT NOTHING! am not being rude but Christmas is a paganism ceremony in which i don't enjoy being part of,as for my reasons,i don't belive in what they claim that Jesus was born on that day,if you happen to read from the scriptures some where in Jeremiah ch 35/36 not reall sure of the verses you will find its origins for of that day the king of judah was being realsed from prison on 25th day of the 12th month of that year, hence, they saw the need to celebrate and it has been going on now for decades, untill somewhere it was changed that Jesus was born on that day...
Two,research has shown that during the month in which the self proclaimed day of Jesus birth is normally winter in Israel, hence,do shepherds look after seeps in winter,my research shows me something to do with May and June,i would even want a gift from a friend on that day...am just anti Christmas, nothing more.....thank you....shalom
Sumai ok, I say to you again if you were around during the time of Jesus not even the money with Caesar's head on it you would spend. Why do you use the money in your country now? Who inscription is on it? We all know that the festivity and the timing of the Christmas season is wrong but you are gone over board to say EGW eyes were wide shut and that Christmas is the mark of the beast. I post this on Gabriel's thread:

Yes Gabriel, Christians should use the foolishness of the world to confound the so called wise and Christmas is strategic time. Why not capitalize on it?

Yet at the same time do not but a stumbling back before a brethren. If they do not believe in the worship of Christmas you should not force it upon them since it is pagan. Let those that are weak eat herbs and those that are strong drink milk. Dnt put a gap between brethren over things pagan.
Barbee welcome and thanks. The word worship is not the word you intended to use at all because as SDA Christian our object of worship is God- so we do not worship a day. What you could probably mean is we should not celebrate Christmas and confuse others or cause any to stumble. Did I get you right?

Yet it is pagan, there is another flashing neon sign that should say false prophet!
Where did Elijah say keep your high places to baal and use them as a means to bring sojourners into truth?
Uuuu Ya those were graven images and alters used for the sacraficing of children....
This is a tree..... Didn't God create trees?
