Well you can read a Christian Bible written in Indonesian, Malaysian or Arabic and it will also tell you that Allah is the creator of the universe because it is true.
Pastor Dwight Nelson was that pastor, he is a liberal pastor and teaches many unbiblical teachings. I would say Allah is not God but brother JohnB will appear from nowhere lol.
This topic have been dealt with on many occasions. The video you posted has any falsehood. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE TO SAY THAT IS WAS PROPHESIED IN BOTH THE BIBLE AND SOP THAT THE ADVENTIST CHURCH WOULD FALL INTO SIN AND BECOME A SISTER TO BABYLON. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE. i just recently had to show Nicolas that he was spreading falsehood on YouTube and he admitted that he was in error. These videos belong to an offshoot group which is very deceptive.
Jason, the Christian Bible used by many christians , including Adventist s, in the middle east uses the word Allah when refering to God. Dwight Nelson is very correct of what He says about Islam.
God's name is Yaweh, which Judaism translated to Jehova in order not disrespect His name. Allah was an invention by Mohammad.
Heisenberg the word "God" also has pagan roots too so does that mean we also have to now stop using tbat word too ?
God is a title, not a name. Allah is a name, not a title.
The origin of the English word God comes from the tribal germanic and nordic words Gud or Gutt meaning "invoked one" . This word they used to refer to their pagan god. Europeans who converted to Christianity decided to continue to use the same word to refer to the YAWEH God in heaven. Pretty much the same what Arabs did with the word "Allah".
Allah was an invented false god created by Mohammad. Are you suggesting that Yaweh is equally fantastical?
Firstly the word Allah was used long before Mohamed. It has pantheatic roots just like the Hebrew word Elohim. The word God, liike I stated earlier, has pagan roots. The best reference to God is YHWH of which the Hebrew words Yaweh comes the closest. The second best is probably Jehovah. At least in the muslim mind, they have an obligation to worship the same God as that of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph and they have a regard for Jesus in His human form.
believes that he is obligated to worship
There seems to be some different views on the meaning of Allah. This is from an old Review & Herald book, "Handbook For Bible Students" :
"Elohim is the plural of Eloah (in Arabic, Allah)..."
The sense of this seems to be that the Hebrew word El-oah is pronounced by the old Arabs, Al-lah. Same word.
From what I have read, Mohammed seems, initially, to have seen himself as a prophet of Jehovah, and intended to come to the Jews as their leader and last true prophet. (He believed that he worshiped the same God as them.) But when the Jews rejected him, he turned against them.
Mohammed thought that he was going to revive/restore the true religion of the Jews, and so a lot of the early parts of the Koran are simply paraphrases of the Old Testament. But when the Jews rejected him, things changed quite a bit, and he went on to develop an independent philosophy/religion.
