I HAD A TASTE AND THEN UGH! BUT ANYWAY, DO ANY OF YOU ENJOY NON ALCOHOLIC BEER INSTEAD OF REAL BEER MUCH LIKE SOME ENJOY MEAT SUBSTITUTES INSTEAD OF MEAT?

A friend of mine who was a terrible drunk was put on a drug called Antabuse so they would not cause further damage to their liver. They tried near-beer and suffered the effect of getting sick and turning red and puking. Just a thought.

It sounds like they had more the a psychological addiction but a physical one. If his body had become dependent on alcohol and he started drinking things that did not have alcohol his body would reject it. I knew someone like that. The only detox was to go to the doctor and get medication.
