Revelation 13:16-17
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
“Again and again the Lord has instructed that our people are to take their families away from the cities, into the country, where they can raise their own provisions; for in the future the problem of buying and selling will be a very serious one.” (Country Living, Pages 9-10)
We have been warned from God in his word that we are going to be forced to make a decision of who and when we will worship. These decisions will affect if we can buy or sell. Ellen White passed on the warning also, “Again and again the Lord has instructed" , that we learn to grow our own food and have provisions during to time of no buying and selling period. Preparations should start now, it takes time to grow fruit and nut trees and learn how to successfully grow sufficient produce to store. We should learn to rotate food so the food we store always gets used and replaced.
We are to prepare ourselves for food and supplies until it is time to flee into the mountains or solitary places and most likely probation has or will close soon at that point. From When probation closes and no matter where God's people are whether in prison or the wilderness God will supply all our needs, our food and water will be sure. Isaiah 33:6 "He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure."
God has given us time to learn these things for ourselves and you can be pretty sure that when the serious trouble starts, others could turn selfish and not share with those who did not listen and prepare themselves. You only have to look at a local disaster in your area. Storms, flooding can cause food in the grocery store to disappear fast and it is not replaced so quickly due to flooding or damaged roads etc.
Are we going to put our family in a serious predicament and cause them to make a rash decision to follow the beast and his image, because they are hungry and did not prepare before hand.
“The storm is coming relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it?” (8T 315)
This is our families desire to move out to the country to do these things, we are yet to find the right property.
That Isaiah text is Isaiah 33:16 Don't worry about it I have made that exact same mistake before also Sister Cheryl.
Not to worry about foods or drinks. What I think is that all our needs will be supplied to those who really L-o-v-e the Lord. Although we may have to go hungry and be very uncomfortable. But God is the sustainer, provider, supplier, distributor, Savior, Saviour, Savor, and best Friend. Keep Him close and your nice friends nearby to support each other and really minister to those less fortunate than you are. Peace, Assurance, & Final Salvation to all who truly Believe. Goodnight Take Care...
Woops sorry I didn't realize I copied it wrong.
Yes you are right, there will still be those who have not had time to prepare and those with Christ's character and love will share what they have.
Oh & God has a place in the country for you. I naturally saw that when I lived in the city to go to school and saw all the troubles that were in the city and all the sins that are in the city. We move out of the cities those that do why? Because that is the prudent thing to do knowing some of what the bible says.
Thank-you Andrew, I believe God does have a place for us, we have to be patient and continue to have faith in the promises of God.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Matt 6:33
Jesus made preparations for His mother when He was crucified. And "that was His preparation," to care for His mother while He would be back in heaven ministering to all our salvation. Jesus prepared His house- the house of Israel- watered it, fed it, nourished it, blessed it and helped it. In Isaiah Chapter 5:2 "He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine." Isaiah 5:2 NKJV. You see God did prepare when taking care of His church and we are too also every day. 1 Corinthians 15:31 "I die daily." Paul speaking.
Anything can be overdone. Just try cooking Lasanga casserole. If you leave it in the oven too long it burns.
