Ellen White said Jesus is God's thought made audible HENCE the Word of God. We don't know what God looks like nor the Son prior to knowing He became a man and she also says that He became in a NEWS SENSE the Son of God when He became a man.
So Will, was Jesus mortal before He became man? Who can forgive sins but God alone? He forgave the sins of the man put down through the roof and they were ready to stone Him for claiming that He is I AM.
Can you please address these things from the Bible?
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
And that is what Isaiah says about Jesus I think the texts speaks for itself does it not?
The text says that a SON is GIVEN.
This means that JESUS was SON before coming here on earth. When did JESUS become the SON of GOD? Before everything was created. 1 John 1:2 declares that JESUS is the very LIFE of the FATHER manifested.
1 John 1:1 "
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)"
Is this not amazing? :)
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God."
- John 1:1-14, 32-34
John the Baptist testifies that Jesus is God and apostle John refers to His baptism scene when the Father was in heaven declaring that Jesus is His Son and sending the Holy Spirit. In this scene the heavenly trio are described as three separate personalities. Just as at creation when the three persons of the Godhead are seen working in unison.
You posted good verses but missing the points.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God.
First the word "was" is past tense, when was Jesus with God? That same time Jesus was God!
John 1:2 The same (Jesus) was in the beginning with God.
The same Jesus was WITH GOD!
Is this meaning to say the same Jesus was with Jesus?
John 1:14 And the Word (Jesus) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
When was Jesus made Flesh, and who is the ONLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER?
If you are not to answer these questions better not to post anything.
Are you saying that Ellen White misrepresented God by saying that the Holy Spirit is God?
John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
This is what Jesus says about himself and the Father I also think this text speaks for it self does it not?
This text does not say that JESUS is the FATHER but that JESUS is in the Perfect Image of the FATHER. JESUS is the Real SON of GOD and they are almost Identical.
Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
This is what Apostle Peter says about Jesus "none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." If Jesus was not God he could not do that The text speaks for itself really does it not?
JESUS is GOD because He is the SON of GOD. He is His FATHERS SON. As such He was GIVEN all authority in heaven and on earth and everywhere He goes it is as IF His FATHER is there as well. The FATHER is IN His SON by His Spirit. (the Holy Spirit, which is the Mind of GOD)
Phi 2:5 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" This is talking about the Holy Spirit, which is JESUS CHRIST.
We need to realize that the Holy Spirit, who is as much a person as God is a person, is walking through these grounds.--Manuscript 66, 1899. (From a talk to the students at the Avondale School.)
The Holy Spirit is a person, for He beareth witness with our spirits that we are the children of God. When this witness is borne, it carries with it its own evidence. At such times we believe and are sure that we are the children of God. . . . The Holy Spirit has a personality, else He could not bear witness to our spirits and with our spirits that we are the children of God. He must also be a divine person, else He could not search out the secrets which lie hidden in the mind of God. "For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God."--Manuscript 20, 1906.
