Fundamentalism usually has a religious connotation that indicates unwavering attachment to a set of irreducible beliefs. Fundamentalism among certain groups that are characterized by a markedly strict literalism as it is applied to certain specific scriptures, dogmas, or ideologies, and a strong sense of the importance of maintaining an emphasis on purity to established "fundamentals." The SDA Fundamentals are the bases for our beliefs. These doctrinal convictions and their significance for Adventist Christians in today's society. it may be viewed as representative of "the truth . . . in Jesus" (Eph. 4:21) that Seventh-day Adventists around the globe cherish and proclaim.

Someone else can answer to the extremism. I do not see the fundamentals as extreme as they are based on God's word. We know many SDA do not fully accept the SDA fundamentals and arguments usually ensues.

I Jesus was living in this age people will say that Jesus is a Fundamentalis and extremists.

Now and day if you qoute the SOP in the church you are being call a fundamentalists.

Labels seem to be used mainly to either bring people together or destroy them.
