Well it happened to me as well about 5 years ago when I broke up with my ex... The good thing is Im still here. Praise God for that. There are certain situations where humans tend to do something extreme especially if it involves pain but I dont think its some sort of mental illness.

Darell - what you said has happened to me.  and it can develop into depression thus the person wants to end it all.   any other viewpoints on this would be greatful

What do you think of those who tried to end their life because of a breakup? Is that a mental illness? or just some sort of an extreme reaction to pain?
