Natural Remedies

There are many people who don't know about natural remedies (Herbs, Hydrotherapy, etc.). Would you be willing to share what you know about using them to save lives? We are here to care for one another.

Thank You | My Experience

I would like to thank everyone in this group who has already shared their remedies and I encourage everyone to share what you have learned or discovered in your personal experiences. Feel free to ask, also, if you have some questions. We are here to be a blessing to each other, because that's what God wants us to do. May the Lord God use us mightily for His glory and honor.
As a Literature Evangelist in the Philippines, I delivered a book to a family. When I got to their house, I found out everyone was so sad. One of their children was sick. He had Diarrhea and a high fever. They didn't have money to take the child to a doctor. They didn't know anything about natural remedies. I looked around at the yard. There were avocadoes, guavas, and starfruit trees. I got the leaves, and boiled them in water, and offered the water (no leaves) to the child. After he drank it, he fell asleep. In the morning, he was doing fine. God was so good, to let me help this dying child.

Vasculitis can be improved by increasing vitamin C through foods like cherries and kiwis, etc. and including herbs like Hawthorne berry, elderberry syrup, bilberry, ginkgo biloba and gotu kola in the diet. Traditionally the first three herbs help with building the cardiovascular system(specifically Hawthorne) and the last two help will proper circulation and reduce inflammation.

For dealing with pancreatic tumors you would treat it the same for a dog as with a human but taken into account the size and weight of the dog. Dosing for humans is usually based on an average of around 130lbs and so if you had a 13 lb dog you would give around 1/10 of the dose.
Turmeric and spirulina are used for tumors in the pancreas and bitter melon and/or artichoke is used to rebuild the pancreas and control blood sugar. A combination of mullein and lobelia (3:1 parts) is used to heal glands of the body and clean out tumors and was probably some of the ingredients in the black salve capsules you were giving the dog. Also you could try putting the dog on a raw food diet, make homemade dog food, and make sure to avoid GMO ingredients as they are known to cause tumors in animals and humans.
Let us know if any of these things work for you in saving your dog. Be patient as it might take a while for the condition to completely heal. You and your dog are in our prayers.

Hello all,
I just wanted to see if anyone has an opinion here. My almost 7 year old chihuahua was diagnosed with insulinoma on December 2, which is tumors in the pancreas.  See
The tumors release extra insulin which makes his blood glucose go dangerously low. So we have to feed him low GI every 3 hours so he doesn't have a seizure and we give him medication (prednisolone) and finished a course of a natural treatment called black salve capsules.  I also prayed and fasted and continue to pray.
I know this group is mainly for treating humans with natural remedies, but thought God created all creatures and you might have some wisdom to help.  I'm currently giving him some milk thistle but Spike is extremely lethargic, sleeping all day.
Any ideas on how to heal him?
Thanks and God bless.

"Those who seek healing by prayer should not neglect to make use of the remedial agencies within their reach. It is not a denial of faith to use such remedies as God has provided to alleviate pain and to aid nature in her work of restoration. It is no denial of faith to co-operate with God, and to place themselves in the condition most favorable to recovery. God has put it in our power to obtain a knowledge of the laws of life. This knowledge has been placed within our reach for use. We should employ every facility for the restoration of health, taking every advantage possible, working in harmony with natural laws. When we have prayed for the recovery of the sick, we can work with all the more energy, thanking God that we have the privilege of co-operating with Him, and asking His blessing on the means which He Himself has provided." – {MH 231.3

Reply to Laura Biding. Your remark about natural remedies and Gods healing power is interesting. It is possible to put so much focus on natural remedies that Christ's healing Agency is neglected and overlooked. Many christian writers concerned with Christian ministry of healing have written about this danger. The danger is when people healed from disease give thanks to natural remedies instead of thanks to God for Health and healing. But the balance between natural remedies and God's healing Agency is difficutl to find and achieve. It is a rare thing to find naturopaths and natural hygine people uplifting the grace of Christ in healing. Pills, supplements and the "newstart principles" become substitutes for Gods grace and healing Agency.

Many Adventists use natural remedies - supplements, potions, herbs, etc - to aid in healing, but shouldn't we be praying and asking God for healing?  Is this not yet another way that man thinks he can control his own destiny and do without God?

If we believe these worldly concoctions have the power to heal, then surely we have taken our eyes off our ever loving Saviour Jesus Christ who says "Ask, and it shall be given you" (Matt. 7:7)
