I became an Adventist when I turned 35 and I am 65 now.  I am especially interested and have taken the Health Ministry course on Food and Health offered by the health ministers traveling to my former church in North Carolina.  I find that it is that information that is a cherished part of my church education.

How I became an Adventist--

I became a believer because my faith had faded from my Presbyterian roots,
although strangely I had met a 7th Day Adventist years before and was

impressed with her integrity.  I prayed to God one day as a test and said, "Send

me someone who can help me. The next person who walks through that door I

will adopt their faith."  The next person was a faculty member at a college where I
was a faculty member and she wanted to speak to me about her church.  She

said she hesitated, but was moved by something that day to approach me.  We began a friendship, met over coffee, studied the Bible for over a year as I was
interested in prophecy, and I joined the church and was baptized.

This is the location for "I Was Saved in a Living Room" the definitive guide to one-on-one home evangelism. One part biography, one part training manual, one part theological treatise; it's the story of how I was brought to a born again relationship with Jesus through the Adventist faith, how God used me to win another, and what you can learn in order to win friends for Him also.

My Testimony

First things first I want to thank the Lord because he brought me out of Wicca and the Occult at the beginning of August 2011 . And never looked back since.   All to his Glory I am sharing this to you all

Secondly, I want to confess that I had been living a double life, even though I was a Baptised as a Seventh-day Adventist in 2002.,  Every thing was ok till 2005 when i fell away from God and went my own way.  But you can never mix light with Darkness as my testimony will show.    Theses days i now grow strong in the Lord. and He is everything to me.

After my marriage broke up I got involved with the wrong people and started to get involved in occult practices in 2007 - tarot cards, ouija board, ghost haunts, wicca, etc .    I also went to Pagan gatherings.  But it was through a Christian Friend that i made contact with on facebook that had not seen for over 20 years that helped me come back to the Lord. after i told her what i was going through. .  . And while she talken to me  Jesus just ministered to me.  I  just broke down in tears and got on my knees for him to help me because i know on my own strength i would never be free. she was  was that about God still loves me  no matter what I done in  past.  And at that moment I felt released from the bondage of the occult and during the week I got rid of everything that I had to do with  wicca, magick, tarot.  It was a struggle at first but with the Lords help I managed it  And I Give all the Glory to the Lord  for freeing me and i came back to the seventh day adventist church in septemeber last year, and I know 100% this is where God has planted me and want me to be.

That is my testimony. and if there is anyone on here that thinks that God will not have you back because of the things you done in the past  then think again. God is waiting for you with open hands waiting for you to come back to him. Because He Loves you and will forgive you.

Today, can be the day that you make the most important decision you make in this life. Where will you spend eternity? Jesus died so that your sins could be forgiven and you could live forever in heaven when this life is over. All you have to do is pray this simple prayer.

"God, I am a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins. I believe in my heart, and confess with my lips, that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart Jesus. Take my life, I surrender it to you. From this moment on, I will live my life according to the Bible and serve you. Thank you for taking away my sins and giving me everlasting life. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen"

I was a very religious woman clinging to the mother church I knew before that I thought the real one.

I was with me  always the rosary, the novena. I was very  active in  all roman catholic  beliefs . I  never

failed to all    church activities. But God has been good to me. He called me out from there. Through a

crusade where in    I truly understand the new faith I have been now. As I clinged  before the more I

embrace my new faith I    have  now.

I am so happy to belong to God's family .  Now,  for me being a true Seventh Day Adventist  member

is a great privileged  and a blessing.. I have no regrets to the new FAITH I have now, And presently,

I am working in God's field as HIS servant. My prayer is I wish  I meet JESUS personally with my family,

my brothers & sisters in Christ. God bless us all. So hold on with our faith, until we see JESUS on HIS

very very soon coming!!!!!   God bless God's People.

Thank You Raymond for allowing me this opportunity to express myself within the framework of this group. My family and I were baptized into the Albion S D A  Church in July 1989 after 32 years in the Roman Catholic System. My conversion took approximately 2 years to accept the sanctity of the Sabbath but once accepted I found the Adventist message to be solid and logical.

I was converted in an odd kind of way. It took a few years to put it all together. I had bits and pieces placed in my life, but I never put them all together. It wasn't until I became friends with a man that believed similar to the way that I had believed and he actually had a denominational name that went along with this belief.. the SDA. The more we started talking, the more I understood, BUT I didn't convert right away. I started visiting the church and learning. I have only claimed to be Adventist for a couple of months now.

I got converted and became an Adventist through a debate! We had a group of youths in our "Sunday" Church doing Bible study weekly, and as was God's plan for me, He led me to Jack T. Chick books, who graciously sent them to me, including magazines and tracts from U.S.A. These books aroused a great revival in me, and when I tried to share it with the youths in the Church, they resisted it, especially the prophecy concerning the anti-Christ, Man of Sin, Who/What is Babylon today--The Vatican in Prophecy, and Sabbath instead of Sunday, and who changed it and when it was changed! From there on, I stopped going to Church on Sunday. I was looked at as a backslider, but God kept assuring me from the Bible that I'ved taken the right path! When God prepared me very well for the right Church, He led me to someone on the road going to Church on the Sabbath! I stopped him and asked where he was going? he said to me,"to Church", I never heard there was an Adventist Church in the area till that day! I said I'll follow you, and that's how I became an Adventist, praise God, I now converted my wife when we were friends, and she agreed to join me, now we are a happy Adventist family! Thanks to God.
