HI James,

Thanks for dropping by to give me encouragement and for your kind words, feel free to share your experience but I am going to give you my feedback in regards to CCleaner. It's garbage. I am sorry about that experience that you had but I would reccomend that you use Malwarebytes. It's more comprehensive plus it's not going to hurt your computer ;)

Also for remote access,

Jenny,

Here is the Samsung Download Center. Look for Laptops under Office.

Keep me posted!

Hi Janny,

Oh I see. Thanks for providing the brand of your computer. I was referring to the manufacture of your audio but since you have given me the brand of your computer which is Samsung. that helps a lot. When you download the drivers from Windows, it only gives you a generic driver. It can give you issues like the one you are having. However, you will actually need the driver from the company that your audio actually have. When companies build computers they purchase from other companies for the components such as your internal audio card.

Then Samsung will put a library of all the correct drivers that came with your computer. My computers are dell. The Dell website provides a page where it scans your entire computer and it will re-drect you to a page where it has all of the drivers from the device manufature.

For my laptop, I have a realtex audio card and NVIDIA graphics card. After upgrading my laptop to Windows 10, I had to do update my graphics to the Windows 10 driver. Somehow it downloaded the audio drivers by accident so I had to get the original realtek audio card from the manufacture website and set the default sound system back to realtek. it works ever since.

I had a sound problem caused by over zealous CCleaner application that messed up the sound files in Bootcamp, running Windows 7 or earlier XP on Macintosh OS 10.6. My game sound would not work. I had to reinstall bootcamp sound files a couple of times this happened. The solution besides that was to cut back on the aggressiveness of the CCleaner program which otherwise is good for clean up.

Gabriel, thanks, thats nice of you to do this for people. I am certainly not as experienced as you. Problems can get difficult to resolve sometimes.

Regarding the sound problem that Jenny is having; I thought it could be a registry problem/corruption?

Here is an article about absolutely no sound, but pointed to registry as solution that worked. Her problem is headphone sound but speakers not working?

As regards the guy that wants to do remote access; I found a fantastic solution years ago that provides access remotely by iOS devices, its called PC2me, it only costs $10.00 online for iOS, and the PC software is free after that, but you can use it to access security camera (IP) or USB or built-in laptop on your desktop in browser access as you look at remotely, and you can hear sound also. You can access complete control.

You can type in documents, open apps and do everything you can but slower via this app.

Gabriel, I hope you don't mind my making mention of these possible solutions? I am not trying to rain on your parade, per se. Just trying to help as you are.

Hi Gabriel, no problem :) thanks for replying. I checked device manager and there are no yellow icons. My operating system is windows 7 32 bit.

Actually I've had this speaker issue for about a year now. When i first noticed it, I did check device manager and I saw a few yellow icons under Sound, video and game controllers.. I remember deleting all those with yellow icons and trying to reinstall them.

Recently, I realized that windows actually installs and updates your drivers for you, so I allowed it to do so. But even after I got back my drivers and they're all updated, the sound issue still remained.

I have never dropped my computer and I don't remember making any big changes. The most I've done is change the start button, windows start-up screen and other icons to personalize it more.

...um I will try to go directly to the audio manufacture website... wait.. do you mean the manufacturers of my computer? like if my computer is Samsung then I should to the Samsung website?

In the Device manager example that I posted, it has a way to do a scan via the internet and it will download the correct driver for your device.

Also, you can to go directly to the audio manufacture website. Most companies websiten nowadays have a way to do a scan of your computer and it will find the right driver for your device.

Let me ask you this, have you made any changes to the computer or have your drop it?

Hi Janny, Happy Sabbath and sorry for the late reply since my week has been swamped. Is your operating system up-to-date as well? I would go to your device manager to see if you see a little yellow icon. Here is an example..
